I saw Isaiah Minter's name mentioned on twitter. How did he do tonight?

I listened to the first half of this one driving to Woodson Bend for the weekend. It was nip and tuck and sounded like Cozart was lights out.

 

Listened to the ending of Harlan County/Lynn Camp another dandy with the Black Bears pulling it out at the end.

 

I miss the radio calls in NKY. These were awesome.

He had a great game, one of the best he has had all year. It was a very nice bounce back from a not so good game in the district finals.

Love that kid. Just saw him on WLEX. They said he had 16 points.

Central struggled getting good looks in the 1/2 court for most of the night, much of what they got came directly as a result of this kid getting to the paint and making the LCA bigs help and rotate. So 16 points + non-stat initiation of ball movement that led to others getting good looks.

Cozart definitely altered the LCA attack on the other end, and Minter being able to break them down off the dribble was a big contributing factor to the win.

I had a feeling Central would win this. Hard to bet against Feldhaus especially against inexperience.

I saw something that said LCA took 29 threes. I guess that's the effect of having a man like Cozart in the paint, but either way, 29 three pt attempts isn't usually a recipe for winning basketball.

LCA had 9 point lead and the ball with about 6:30 to play and tried to stall. 3 straight possessions with a turnover and Madison Central hit a 3 and some other big shots and it was back to being a game.
