Is it true that coaches are obtaining guardianship for some of these players. If u can't have contact prior to enrollment (lol), how do you get guardianship. May as well drop the bylaw and level the field.

Casey got nice play out of Max Reyes in the district.. they'll need continued production out of him. I give credit to Casey for winning the district, they came ready to play and made the shots they needed down the stretch. Credit. I hope they represent the 47th district well. Casey may be playing better as of late, I'm sure the followers of their team know best.. However, I don't see how you can judge that by their results of the past few games. Some results are a bit misleading.

I agree mostly with this statement. The only exception is that I feel there's 4 teams capable of putting the 3 games together. Wayne Co won the 12th region the last yr it was played at Pulaski. Obviously, a few of the players from that regional championship are still there.

I'm most intrigued by the Lincoln Co vs Southwestern 1st round matchup. Overall, I like how the draw played out... the upsets are there but it could play out where the top 4 teams (according to regular season) could all advance to semifinals. (no SW/Mercer first round or West Jess/Wayne)

Wayne district champs for 3 yrs in a row.. Could we see a repeat of a first round Mercer/SW battle. That would be crazy.

Perhaps the initial call for snow on Thursday made for that call.. I was wondering the same thing when the dates were posted.

Since there's talk of holdbacks and the 2012 SW final four team was brought up I would add that the core group was the start of holdbacks at Southern Middle leading to their middle school success. The extra year was obviously very crucial as that group of seniors was able to make a deep run in 2012 with the addition of Kapinga. All in all, I say that because in some cases the middle school success can translate into high school. The same is said with this years squad (SW)... Their middle school success has translated to high school wins-- we shall see how the postseason plays out..

Agreed.. As stated, proud of the way Pulaski fought till the end. Had chances to win.. Casey capitalized down the stretch and hit big shots.

Casey played hard, I will certainly give them that. They made their FT's & hit big shots when they needed to.. Like I say the game was close & they capitalized on their opportunities... BUT don't act as if the things I say were untrue because they simply are not

Did you see Hall shoot FT's? I believe they mentioned something like "double vision" Do you realize Powell sprung his ankle last week? He could've got UK treatment and still not been 50%. Believe as you will, however. Oh, and a 3rd starter Gregory puking in the 4th.. You're right not short handed. I'd like to hear from a non Casey homer. Good luck moving forward.. You'll need it.

Hall and Powell combined for 9 points, last time out against Casey they combined for 44 points. Hall eye injury really affected his vision and shot while Powell was hampered by ankle sprain. Rock vs Casey should be a good one but I'll take Rock on their home floor.

Pulaski was able to get good production out of Sylvester and Elmore. Overall great effort and despite being extremely short handed still had a chance to win.

Tough luck for the Maroons, proud of their effort. This was a good game throughout Powell & Hall were plagued with injuries in this one & both were not even 50% Gregory went out in the 3rd qtr and did not return

I think I read where Somerset was 1-25 from the 3 point line? Unfortunate to have such a rough shooting night in the game you want the most.

Congrats to Anderson Co on their season. The 8th group at Northern Pulaski won state three years in a row as 6th, 7th and 8th graders

Pulaski was up going to the half by 7 or 8.. Both teams went back and forth in the 4th.. Pulaski misses on quite a few FT's in the 4th while NL was able to hit them which ended up being the difference .. Landon Powell went out at the end of 2nd qtr with an ankle injury.. I'm confident he'll be ready to go for district.
