Huge thanks for an awesome ride the last 4 years to the Pulaski seniors! Best of luck moving forward. Not enough can be said about Jake Johnson.. 10/88/1td at the half. I absolutely hate he couldn't finish this one out in what was a tie game at halftime.. I do think Pulaski could've kept it close had Johnson not went down. However, this game showed exactly how valuable he's been for the Maroons this season! The score doesn't indicate the battle Pulaski came out and gave. I'm not sure how much the defensive adjustments mattered with him being out. BG is so deep and have a ton of speed and offensive weapons. Carothers was a beast all game. Congrats to them on an undefeated season & state title. Would bet they'll just reload and be back next year!

Agree 100%. I hate it for him. He's played in all 60 games in his 4 yrs. Has to be frustrating especially in what was a close game. That Highlands game was such a great one. Will never forget it.

That's been the strength of the Pulaski coaching staff too. Pulaski is just not the same on offense without Johnson. Further shows how important he is to their success. I still give credit to BG.. Still have to execute and they have done that

Johnson not fielding the kickoffs nor punting tells me all I need to know. BG has came out and took advantage of their opportunities in the 2nd half.

When you're unable to move the ball like you did in the first half on offense the defense is going to wear down & it's showing. Pulaski doesn't have the depth of BG.

Jake just isn't the same after the injury. Not moving very well.

Not going to be fun for the late game on Sunday with one team coming from a different time zone and school the next morning. Hopefully , it will at least be on schedule (unlike last year).

South Oldham had an outstanding kicker.. is he a Senior? He had some nice lift and distance on his kicks. Impressive

Jake Johnson deserves to be Mr Football- he had 289 yards 3 tds in this one with 2 INT one being a pick 6... he took over the game and this is not the first time.. he plays a big role in every part of the game for Pulaski.. After it's all said and done he's making his 4th consecutive title game (coming from a school that had never appeared in a title game) and this yr doing it with a new QB..

Pulaski defense obviously came out very flat but played MUCH better in the 2nd half- gave up a late TD with 30 sec-- recovered the onside to put the game away South Oldham had an impressive offense with a balanced attack- what a talent they have with Keaton Martin. Jake Johnson was HUGE for Pulaski tonight- South Oldham D could not contain him.
