Some credibility is lost when you look at the region/team you follow and see a player is listed that is no longer even in the state

I tend to agree, I do think the 12th region should have two teams though, the other being Southwestern.

I feel Harlan County could replace North or South Laurel in the Top 25 in the 13th region. I think they're the best team in that region.

Big win for the Maroons- Great efforts from the running game, Dylan Hopkins and Jake New.. Jake Johnson.. you can't say enough about this kid- big play after big play.. kid should be Mr Football- returned the opening kick for a TD tonight to start the 2nd half.. huge momentum for the Maroons. I believe that's 58 straight games with a reception.

Oh I just assumed University Heights was rated to be a top 3 team in their region? I would guess they are more athletic than most teams in the 12th? It generally can be tough to make assessments off scrimmages. I did not mean to come off as critical, in fact , I enjoy to hear the observation.

Interesting comments. With that said, I believe they beat a good University Heights team by a solid margin.

I'm not sure of the list of teams for the LC holiday tournament yet but in years past there's been 16 from around the area with a few out of state teams. Games will be played at Pulaski, Southwestern and Somerset HS throughout the day if things stay true to the past few years.

Plenty of opportunities sure but got extremely lucky on the first TD pass IMO Harlan County did control the ball in the 2nd half with timely conversions. Pulaski had 2 INT called back because of defensive penalties... that can't happen but survive and advance...

I think South Laurel could upset North. They're playing better as of late and a change in QB from the last time they played North could be the reasoning

I would add Steve Adams to the list.

No he's been a versatile player all year and has came up time and time again to make the big play, defense, offense, special teams it doesn't matter. Kid has always been a winner and the past four years backs that up. The hypothetical game can be played with every candidate, really.

Jake Johnson- not only for what he's accomplished over his career at Pulaski but also the fact he's went to the state finals every year... At a school where that's not the traditional norm.

A lot of excitement around the Pulaski program right now with a ton of talent setting the stage for high expectations. Pulaski has scheduled Trinity to start the season so they should find out early where they stand.

What does this even mean? Rock is not good?

Somerset seems to be ranked in a good spot.. return pretty much their whole team from last yr. 47th district will be tough. Did East Jessamine lose one of their better players from a year ago to LCA?

Southwestern will be a good team.. a lot of guards who shoot the 3. Gover, Stevens, Cundiff, Cromer, Dykes will be their main contributors I'd guess.

I like to think of Mr Football as an individual who has been a proven winner.. on and off the field... Over the course of the 4 years of high school. Possibly someone who, because of their play, has changed how other teams view them and the team (good way). Mr Football should be someone that not only wins more than they lose but has proven to step up in the big games to lift their team to victory. Personally love when a player has brought their school to new territory and continues to carry that tradition each year they've played. (winning ways). What would that team be like without said player? What separates them over some other players they may of not won Mr Football at same school?

What an accomplishment that would be.. and for the senior class to go all 4 years..
