What a clinic Southern put on in shooting the 3. They hit 18 of 22 3's :scared:. I have seen alot of basketball but this team is the best on shooting the 3 that I have ever seen. #0 for them had 39 points. He has to be one of the best guards in the state. I definitely will be keeping up with them this year, they are VERY good and I was very impressed. When he took the starters out I clapped for them, well done young men.

The Cards didn't play bad, they were just that good.

18 of 22 is great from the charity stripe. I'd have loved to have seen that. I'll keep an eye on Southwestern!

I Love to watch them play. We have a date with them in a few weeks, I am looking forward to watching them, and hoping we make a game of it.

Speaking of upcoming games, we will be up your way Tuesday Goldie. Hope to run into you.

Southwestern lost 2 players to Pulaski over the summer. Many thought that would be their death of that team.

They will have much better chemistry this year and, if they're hitting that night, can definitely beat Pulaski. They are so small and elusive which allows them to get their shots off. And there's not a better perimeter shooting team in the state.

I've followed the 12th closely over the last several years. In my opinion, Gover is the best offensive player in the region this year. And he is in the running for best overall player. He's that good of a high school basketball player.

Yes he is, very impressed with the whole team. Fun team to watch.

Sw can beat any team in the state on a given nite. Sw can get beat by just about any team in the state on any given nite but man are they fun to watch. They give it all they got.

That's some serious shooting.

How many Govers are there in Pulaski Co? lol.

This made me smile. We don't see opposing team clap for the other team when they leave the court. Most folks would been upset with getting beat. I applaud you.

Thanks. I am a supporter of all kids, doesn't matter what jersey they wear. I know good basketball when I see it and yesterday was something to see. Everyone was just shaking their heads when a 3 went in. It was amazing.

What is #0 name? What to keep up with him.

Wow! Even the Southwestern Warriors’ scorekeeper was in shock as his team made 18 three-pointers (12 of them in the first half) on Saturday afternoon in their 93 to 63 victory over the Cardinals. Southwestern was 18 of 22 (81.8%) from behind the arc. In addition, Southwestern made only 17 two-pointers on the night; therefore, they made one more three-point shot than regular buckets. Incredible!

The Cardinals led 18 to 16 after the first quarter; however, Southwestern scored 35 points in the second quarter to lead 51 to 35 at halftime. (Southwestern made 8 of their three-pointers in that second quarter.) The Cardinals opened up the second half with some success as GRC was within a basket of cutting the lead to single digits. Unfortunately,

Southwestern hit 2 three-pointers and extended their lead to 19 by the end of the third quarter, 69 to 50. The Cardinals played out the fourth quarter as Southwestern took the final stanza, 24 to 13.

Here are the point totals for the Cardinals:

Ryan Cooper had 15 points.

Jordan Graham had 10 points.

Will Philpot had 9 points.

Jehdon Jenkins had 7 points.

Tydarius Clark had 6 points.

JJ Johnson had 6 points.

Chase Taylor had 5 points.

PJ Williams had 3 points.

Zeke Dijiba had 2 points.

The Cardinals host Madison Central for a triple-header on Tuesday, December 6th. The Freshmen play at 5PM with the JV and Varsity games following.
