Kids getting sick is classless?

Covington Catholic moved their Senior Night up due to not wanting to get to the last game and having a weather/sickness/other issue. I believe you'll start seeing more schools do it.

Our girls did their senior night on a Saturday afternoon in January.

SW has 7 kids confirmed with the flu and who knows how many others would or will be coming down with it. Mercer did not want it spread to their team either. Not classless at all smart by both teams.

Why not just leave those 7 players at home and bring the rest of the healthy players? I've seen Southwestern's JV and varsity team and I am fairly certain they could have brought 12 capable players between their JV and varsity teams to the game last night.

Because nobody knows who or how many more has it. You can be contagious even before symptoms hit. No need for either team to spread it further.
