Schools could schedule their spring breaks during the state tournament. Kids from all over the state are missing school to go watch the games even if their school is not in the tournament.

Owen County returns all their starters and has a very talented incoming freshman class. If they will all work hard in the off season they could have a very good 09-10 season.

I'm not talking about the players here but I would say that little effort is being put into the test by those students who have no plans to go to college.

They are smart boys. I am sure they will be fine. If not they have plenty of time to retake it.

I wish they had a scoreboard that showed the fouls on it.

I agree. Owen Co had a much bigger crowd than Oldham for their match-up and most of those people drove an hour or so to get there. It is really sad that the community doesn't support their team.

Some schools require that head coaches are teachers if at all possible. Don't know if Walton has this policy or not. There are many reasons that it maybe difficult to coach your own kids at a varsity level. Many do it with no evident problems others do have problems at home or on the court. Frankly, I don't have a dog in this fight and really don't care who they hire. I was just expressing my opinion. That's all I have to say about that.

I'm talking about the head coach position. I am just saying if it was my school's team and there are other good options I would prefer a head coach who will not have a son or two on the team for the next 12 years.

I have no idea if McNeil would be a good coach or not but I think that having 3 boys coming up is a good reason not to want to hire him. Some don't seem to have much problem with their own kids on their teams but it can be a real problem.

Per KHSAA Owen Co shot 63.9% from the foul line for the regular season. Nothing to brag about but they are certainly much bettter than the 47% they shot in this game. Just one of those nights.

I guess at $6.00 a piece they wanted us to get our money's worth.
