One of the best movies I've seen in awhile. I plan to read the book now. The movie is as much about Sandra Bullock's character, Leann Toohey as it is Michael Oher. If she had not done what she did the football world likely would never have heard of Michael Oher and who knows were his live would have led him. To me the theme of the movie is giving back and seeing the value in everyone. The only weak spot in the movie is Tim McGraw. He wasn't terrible but he should stick to singing.
Most small schools pull freshman up. I consider it tacky to play a varsity starter on the j.v. or freshman team but I have seen it done a couple of times.
There will be plenty of playing time for all three of these teammates. Hopefully they will push each other to improve in practice and not let excessive competition and comments on BGPs about who starts interfere with the good team chemistry this team has exhibited over the summer and off season.
That girl has someone on the back burner for sure. Under no circumstance should your friend call, text ,IM, or e-mail her. He should change his facebook status to single and looking for love immediately. It's his only hope.
Channel 18 in Lexington reports that he was 15 and was running sprints when he collapsed. His older brother was also attending the tryout. He had passed a physical exam last week. His name was Waseeq Shahid. Prayers for his family and friends.
