I saw the entire wedding party on the Today show last week. They are definately stretching their 15 mins of fame. They said they threw the whole thing together in about an hour. Looked like alot of fun to me.

What will be done with all those "clunkers" that are being traded in? I assume that some of them are still in decent shape. Will they just be scrapped?

I'm sure the farmers appreciate not having to irrigate yet but I am tired of all the rain. I might have to go to a tanning bed just to get a sun fix.

No, every kid does not have the same option. I have heard of schools who let the teachers decide who is retained and promoted not the parents.

I started college at 17 and had no problems. If I didn't want my child to go to college at 17 I would have held him out of school a year before he started, not reapeated a grade unless academically necessary. Of course I don't know this situation but just seems a little ironic that the taxpayers need to pay for 3 teammates to repeat 7th grade.

Wow. Just curious about how the teachers and others in the community feel about all this repeating of 7th grade. What about the players who will be in the first round of 7th grade? Will they be fetching the water for their older teammates? I know I will be getting the beating the dead horse icon but this just never ceases to amaze me.

The SK kid is Cody Chambers. Cooper Downs is playing well. Doesn't score alot because he doesn't shoot much. Great passer, plays tenacious D. Shoots about 75% from the line. Good for you. Sometimes I leave my phone turned off on purpose just to get a break. It is amazing the way people will actually get mad at me for not answering my phone. (However, I must confess that I have gotten upset with others who never answer their phones.) The trick is to control technology and not let it control you.

$8.00 for adults, kids under 10 are a couple of bucks cheaper, no senior discount, $6.00 to park at the Expo Center and if you leave and return you pay $6.00 all over again. $5.00 for a lame program that I could have printed off the web site. I felt like I got a real bargain after paying $15. admission at It Takes 5.

I know of a few people who left and a couple of more who are not going back today because of the high price of admission. Lower the price, more people will come and everyone is happy. Some people don't care that there are a bunch of D-1 coaches and recruits there, they just wanted to watch their grandson play ball and $30 for Gramps and Granny to watch a couple of games is crazy.

I guess two bucks wasn't so bad after all.

I agree that saying we are going to run until someone quits is no big deal. However, I have heard other things uttered by coaches that are very offensive. You compare the field to a classroom and I agreee whole-heartedly but I think everyone would have to agree that if a teacher, bus driver, custodian, etc.. said some of the things to a student that I have heard and been told that coaches have said they would be fired on the spot. I think that excessive profanity, name calling, belittling, and sexist remarks should not be tolerated by any school employee and that includes coaches. For some reason some coaches get by with these things and I don't understand why. Hopefully this training will address this and some student-athletes will benefit from the hour.

Who are Walton's bigs? I know they have Burns who I think is about 6'5" but I don't remember any other tall kids.

As long as your high school team is the 1st priority, I don't see how AAU can hurt anyone. It gives the better players a chance to step it up.
