No! The athletes in the school system have academic requirements in order to participate how would this be handled with home schooled kids? It would not be a level playing field. The school athletes get home late from a road game, maybe they did their homework on the bus, they drag out of bed and get to school by 7:50 while the homeschooled student sleeps till 10:00. Not fair. Also what about schools that require random drug testing of athletes? Will homeschooled athletes be subject to random drug testing too?

Congrats to Gallatin Co. I was suprised to hear that Hill was held scoreless and Gallatin was still able to win. It was nice that the boys team stopped by on their way home from the game to support the girls but what a shame that they had a game scheduled on the night their girls played such an important game. Can someone report who was on the all tourney team and mvp?

Maybe Owen's J.V. just had a good game against Grant and caused their bad game.

Some districts in the 8th have tourneys but no regional for frosh or jv.

I see cheerleaders stand directly behind the basket during the game but move to the side while someone is shooting foul shots. This may not be required but is good sportsmanship/

Is the band allowed to play while the ball is in play? Are they allowed to hit the cymbals while the opposing team is shooting foul shots? I thought this was against the rules but I have seen it happen recently and the refs allowed it to continue.

Agreed. I froze in there a couple of years ago. Kept my coat on the entire game. If I remember correctly it was rather dark too.

I think it was just a joke. From what I've heard he has fallen out of the chair at Owen Co a couple of times so he just brought his own. I thought it was funny and not offensive. (Evidently it is not a lucky chair.) I haven't heard of any other coaches having problems with the chairs at Owen Co. BTW in my opinion the refs had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Sean Knollman was reffing and I thnk he is one of the better refs we have.

I noticed that there was a Sarah Anderson from Anderson Co on the list of top seniors. Is this a typo or have I somehow missed hearing about her? I thought Fultz would be their top ranked player.

I know that some Owen Co fans had trouble and never made it to the game but thankfully no one was hurt. Congrats to Carroll Co on the win. Any stats for the game? Who made the all-tourney team?

Suprised they played this game with the road conditions the way they were. I heard some fans ran off the road and heard of other fans who got smart and turned around and went home or decided not to try it at all. Was attendance noticebly down?
