Holmes 77 Highlands 68

Against Connor they were down by 6 in the 3rd after a Connor run and he came down and hit two threes in a row with someone in his face to tie the game. -
NCC @ Bishop Brossart (2/07) Predictions
Theoldman12 replied to Obie1's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
IMO Jeramie Connor is the difference off of the bench for NCC. If he has a big game they should be able to win. Also, Rieger vs. Geisler will be a very entertaining match up. -

I guess the game shouldn't even be played then, right? -

It seems that in big games this season Rico has taken over to an extent. For example, against Connor and Scott. -

It's at Holy Cross, that's where the districts are at. -
Housley was at Holy Cross, then Newport, and now Holmes where he is contributing nicely.

Do you know why Arnold didn't play at all? -
The thing that makes me more mad, which is associated with what has been said, is when someone like Porter plays a pretty good game people are saying he's not bad and then when he has one turnover they talk about how much he sucks. People have to realize he isn't a stellar point guard, but IMO he's a better option then Liggins at this point and has to be out there. I guess what i'm saying is if you don't like a player thats your opinion, but don't be "fairweather" with a player.

Most likely and there is nothing wrong with that. -
I'm pretty sure it isn't illegal as I have seen teams do it as well, but I don't quite understand it.

Mason County has right around 8 I think. -

The gym, when filled to the fullest, is one of the best atmospheres for high school basketball especially if there are two great student turn outs. -

I believe they play this Tuesday against Heritage? But I don't know about before that. -
O I see I didn't know. What I have seen in the past is however far you go depends on how many players you get in, but thank you. :thumb:
-
Nothing against the three mentioned from Elliot County as I realize they are all nice players but how do they get just as many all tournament players as Bardstown who went a round farther and two more then any other team? Once again nothing against them, but I thought it usually worked where a designated amount of people from each team that makes it so far gets that amount of people on the all touney team.

Not this again. Do you really think that HC sends out a memo telling everyone to get there early even to the grade school? The grade school kids have just as much right to pay the money and watch the game as anyone else. If you look in the student section you won't see them in there because the high school doesn't have anything to do with them being there, they go because they want to.:ohbrother: -

Well, can't wait to watch the 10th and 9th region tourney's at NKU.:thumb: -
Holmes 67 Scott 66 (OT)
Theoldman12 replied to BaseballIsLife's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Agreed, I think whichever team gets the better draw in the regional has the better chance. As of right now though I would have to go with Mason just because they are playing some good ball as of late and have beaten Scott heads up. However, I'd like to see Scott come out on top.:thumb: Lastly, who does the 10th play in the first round of the sweet 16? -
Holmes v Dixie Heights Predictions (2/4)
Theoldman12 replied to Eta Rho's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I don't think Dixie is athletic enough to run with Holmes which I believe is Dixie's style of play? But I think Dixie could keep it close if they slow it down as I think they can score against Holmes. With that said I'll take Holmes by 11 63-52. -

This is the one we've been waiting for ER :thumb:. Anyways Size hasn't really been much of a factor so far this year against HC and athleticism hasn't really killed them. Also, I think Giwa will be able to handle Beuttel just fine and Romes will be a team effort, but we'll just have to wait and see. -
Holmes 67 Scott 66 (OT)
Theoldman12 replied to BaseballIsLife's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Agreed, but foul trouble is something they are going to have to deal with when they get in those situations and the question is are they deep enough? Obviously they proved they were tonight as I wasn't there, but they still won the game. Also, just curious but who played point once Riley went out and how did it change the way they play? -
Holmes v Cooper Predictions (1/29)
Theoldman12 replied to Eta Rho's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
This thread was meant to be to talk about how a first year program like Cooper can benefit in the future from playing a game like this their first year. It wasn't meant to discuss how bad the score is going to be, how many dunks Holmes is going to have, why EITHER TEAM would schedule a game like this, etc. Each team has to play this game, so I was more wondering what everyone's thoughts were on how this game will help Cooper progress. This is post #15 and you don't answer the question about why there is a poll at all...I understand the thread and that's fine, I never said anything about the thread. My only question is why would you put a poll???????
