  1. Holy Cross has a lot of returning starters and if they can find someone to step up and take on the leadership role they will be very tough.
  2. I wouldn't call being ranked 8th a ton of love. Better then projected in pre-season but that's it. Why don't you think they should be in the conversation? They've beaten New Cath and Ryle and lost to Scott in overtime, Holmes, and Brossart just in NKY. Who have other teams ranked ahead of them beaten to prove themselves more. For example Beechwood?
  3. I predicted Nerl to have a big game, but the outcome to be the other way...Who did Scott have guard Nerl?
  4. Which is why there is no clear cut 2 seed.:thumb:
  5. If things were to play out with no upsets then the winner of HC/St. Henry would play Lloyd then New Cath then the winner of the Newport/Beechwood. Of course saying there are no upsets, but we know that can't happen. lol
  6. Certainly have, but sorry for getting off topic we'll start a thread about that later in the year.:thumb:
  7. Scott seems to be on fire right now. Hopefully they can keep this all the way to Regionals and aren't peeking to soon.
  8. No, the winner of HC/St. Henry plays Lloyd. The HC/St. Henry game is one game earlier then the others if that makes sense.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if Brossart surprised someone in the tougher 37th District this year.:thumb:
  10. Both teams played somewhat sloppy the 1st half and HC went in winning 17-16. The third quarter was even until about 3 minutes left when HC went on a run led by Blake Trimpe. They controlled the fourth quarter getting a couple easy lay-ups and controlling the tempo. I'd guess that Trimpe led Holy Cross with around 20. For Newport it was probably pretty even with McDaniel leading the way with around 15. Again these are off memory as I don't know the official numbers.
  11. So do I, but they got a terrible draw.:irked:
  12. Well, the first round will knock two of those teams out.
  13. I also think Holy Cross will go far, but they play St. Henry first round so they wouldn't be able to make their run.:thumb:
  14. Holy Cross has also beaten NCC who is your favorite. So I don't know how you justify that except for it was early in the season. You could maybe use that if they were playing a lot better now then in the beginning, but it seems to me they are playing worse with losses to Newport and Dixie recently.
  15. The 2-4 seeds are still up for grabs. Even the 1 seed is still up for grabs if Cov Cath was to beat Holmes, but I don't see that happening.:thumb:
  16. Definately in top 10, but not in POY awards. JMO
  17. For me, I really don't have a top 10 because I haven't seen all of the teams and wouldn't want to discount someone. I agree with you on the Holmes players mentioned and as you do I like Rico's game a lot too.
  18. Is it a blind draw? I don't know, but I was thinking maybe it went by margin of victory?
  19. Any details? As I was completely wrong by saying NCC by as much as they want but not the first time...Great win for Dixie.
  20. Ricardo might not be getting the stats neccessary, but he does so much other stuff for the team. He can take over a game when they need him to and I would want the ball in his hands in crunch time. JMO...One example is the Connor game where he took control of the game in the 4th for holmes.
  21. Isn't Carrol County an all "a" team and if so this is a very impressive win as I had read on here that the all "a" was wide open. I could see Walton coming out of the all "a" for the 8th region.
  22. Yes, and I believe Eta accused them of stalling the ball.
