  1. As mentioned a few times prior in this thread I think it is great for kids of different races that play together on the same sports teams, especially in the old days, because a lot of them become almost like families since they saw each other every day...These are the people that were able to bring our country to where it is even today because there have been great strides....One great example of this is Remember the Titans which was based off of a true story. :thumb:
  2. Good argument and you're probably right, but I was only saying this so that it wasn't just the all "a". :thumb:
  3. Well the way I look at it is a lot of the bigger teams play in tournaments around this time of the year anyways so why not make one for all classes and keep the big one.
  4. What do you guys think are the toughest districts in the state. I know two that come to my mind right away are the 35th with Holmes, Cov Cath, Holy Cross, and Beechwood as well as the 42nd with Scott County, Bryan Station, Henry Clay, and Sayre....What do you guys think?
  5. He is related to him and I agree, but I'm just saying what I have heard which are rumors.
  6. They play the best team ball around.
  7. Are you sure Jaylan plays for two teams? I know he plays for St. Augustine 7th and 8th grade team so he would have to play for two teams to be on both. Also, I heard some talk of him going to Dixie but of course that was just rumor so I don't know if it's true, but that sure would make them stronger.
  8. I'm pretty sure I'm the one that told you CC would pull this one out :sssh:...Stinks that CC is in the 37th or else I think they could make some noise in the region.
  9. I think it would be a good idea to do this along with the regular state tournament....I think you have all of these tournaments the same time the all "a" regularly is...This would allow for class champions and a main champion.
  10. Who cares what color their undershirts are, I'm sure if the KHSAA told them they had to wear the same color they would have. It didn't have an effect on the game.
  11. I would venture to guess that Lloyd's size might have given the Cru some trouble, but I don't know as I wasn't there.
  12. I heard on the telecast that he is hoping to be back on Saturday.
  13. What exactly did they mean by that? Just that they wanted to play Beechwood again or....?
  14. I'd probably replace him with Listerman from Cov Cath just because I don't think Listerman could be competitive with some of the teams Goetz has had. Of couse that's just my opinion for what it's worth ....The other coaches are very well deserving and you can't put Goetz ahead of them yet, but I think by the time he's done coaching he will be amongst the tops. Remember this is only his fourth year coaching varsity.
  15. Without a doubt he does have to deal with major issues year in and year out off of the court and that makes a good coach, no questions. My only question would he have as good of teams with less talent?
  16. I disagree he has been competitive in his four years of coaching in the toughest district in the 9th region with usually the #1 and #2 seed in the region. He hasn't made it to the region yet but his first and second year they were ranked in the top 5 going into districts, they just had to play either the #1 or #2 in first round of districts.
  17. My only question is do you think Henley and Listerman would be able to compete year in and year out without the talent they usually have. I think Henley might be able to, but this year Listerman hasn't fared well. That's the reason I like the coaches such as Faust, Goetz, Hicks, etc... Don't get me wrong Henley and Listerman have to be near the top because they do win almost every year and deserve to be recognized, but just something to ponder on...
