No discredit. Just stating my opinion. Barren has a long way to go to get to be competitive in their district, Monroe will walk through theirs. Barren will be out first round of playoffs, Monroe will be there in the region finals, and if they start running an all cylinders even more. I'm jot trying to ruffle feathers, just stating the obvious. Good luck to barren.

The refs tried to keep this one from getting ugly early, but made some very bad calls both ways. I have never heard of a block in the back on defense on a gang tackle. New one to me!!! Monroe played very sloppy tonight. Three fumbles in first quarter with 119 yards. No trouble moving the ball but holding onto it was a different story. And averaging 100+ yards in penalties is horrific! On a good note they only had 90 tonight...woot woot!!! Barren needs a few more skilled position guys. #88 is one heck of a receiver, but their QB Hughes is not who I would have starting. Not a good decision maker or play maker for that matter. But if that's all they have I understand. He is very slow and his teammates do not respect him. A little to arrogant for his talent ability. They have the ability to be a decent ball club but there are many kids that should not be varsity starters. This school is to big to have little talent. It's there just not being utilized imho! Monroe is playing with passion and grit....maybe a little to much to keep under control at times. But after last season the Monroe faithful will take the penalties in stride. It will cost us a game deep if they don not get their emotions under control. Game could have been 42-12 easily. Monroe did just enough to get the win.

I agree 100%. And their band is totally rocking!!!! I love seeing there success. These kids and that community are riding high and I for one am very proud of there accomplishments last year and this. Go Indians!!!

I am also not of fan of cupcake scheduling but when you schedule some teams you have no idea they will be down or up for two years of contract. Monroe has fallen victim to this in the past and tried to schedule up this year only to have those teams be down. I am also not a fan of letting the jV play. That's what we all have jV games and freshman games for. Let the senior starters and the rest play the game they have earned to play in practice. It is only good conditioning for later in the seasoning. Just my two cents....

IMHO Taylor messed up hiring Dudley...he is not a good representative of this sport at its purest form. His influence can change some of these fine young men forever. Very sad for the players, parents, and alumni of this program. Just maybe he will not screw your kid up!!!!!

Adair wins this one easily. No disrespect to the hornets. But the Indians have all the tools for their success this year. These boys have worked very hard for the past two years and deserve the success they are achieving. Go Indians...

I think BG stumbled this past week. Should they remain #1 ...I believe yes because no one has done any better. It is still early and schedules will get better as the season continues. By week 6 we should know without a doubt who will be back to western in December.
