SK looks good

I’m going with blue boxers today to root for an SK upset! Go Neers and everyone of you play fearlessly with reckless abandon for 48 minutes! It can be done but it will not be easy.

Ryle can only pull an upset in a fairly low scoring game. They also have to win the turnover battle. Ballard is heavily favored. Go Raiders!

Give me fast and strong. Crone will make some nice plays but not huge gainers like against most teams on SK’s schedule. SK will have more negative yardage plays than usual vs the Rocks.

That’s too bad for SK if it rains during the game because Crone’s passing excellence will be required for an upset. It’s hard to chuck the pigskin on a cold rainy night. SK has not seen a run defense like T’s, count on it.

A big factor will be SK’s kicker was not putting the ball in the end zone vs Ryle on kickoffs. I’m pretty sure T’s kicker reaches the end zone on each kickoff. Starting field position will be a big advantage in this game.

Trinity will figure out how to control Crone and pull away late. I voted for SK but I feel T will win something like 31-20.

Correct, near miscues or fumbles that you recover do not count as turnovers. Nor does a muffed snap on a punt that the punter falls on. SK had 3 turnovers and Ryle had 2. That’s nowhere near 8 turnovers.

OOPS. SK had 3 turnovers as I recall and Ryle had at least 2.

Dangerous game for the Bengals since a 2-6 start turns Cleveland’s playoff hopes from slim to infinitesimal. However, the Bengals need to keep pace with the Ravens. Baltimore’s second half schedule looks a lot easier than the Bengals’ - Who Dey!

SK has not seen a defense anywhere close to T this year. The Neers will not move the ball at ease vs. the Rocks as they have done against all the other teams on their schedule. And, T will move the ball against SK. Crone is a great athlete and QB, but he won’t gash T’s defense. #7 is the correct place for SK after the regular season.

FD will score quickly each time they have the ball.

SK will score early and often.

Running clock for sure. I see no way the Camels score vs T’s first team.

SK is peaking and congrats to them on the win. Crone is an excellent quarterback.

Excellent season by Ryle. Hopefully, they stay together. Success at the frosh level is a talent indicator. Hard work and off-season player dedication along with coaching determine if it translates into success at the varsity level in a couple of years.

Close game and it may depend on key players available. I don’t see either team “mailing it in” no matter what. This is not the NFL

Thanks TP94. This will be the most interesting 6A playoff in years. St X has earned favorite status with their dynamite defense. There are some other strong defensive squads, too. Best wishes to all teams involved.

SK wins a shootout, then has two weeks to prepare to host Trinity. Even if Marshall County makes the trip, that’s an easy first round vanilla game plan win.
