  1. Congrats Raiders on the win. Good defense and extremely sloppy offense by Ryle. 3 picks thrown including a pick 6 and a fumble by Verax. Punt return TD by Gardner called back. Ryle can’t afford to play like that in the weeks ahead. Ugly win for sure beats a loss.
  2. Only an unlikely “bakery-fest” (3+ turnovers) by Beechwood could keep this close. The Tigers D is strong. Beechwood by 3-4 TD’s.
  3. No one should strive to be #6 in anything. I know Ryle strives to be #1, but the Raiders have a long way to go. They could care less about anything other than earning #1 in December. Winning a 6A title has proved to be a monumental task for any 6A schools outside of the Ville.
  4. Ratings don’t matter to Ryle. I thought they didn’t matter to a lot of people???
  5. Must be Saturday JV game photos. Wayne always does a great job!
  6. Sounds like SW really reset during the rain delay. Looking gloomy for SK.
  7. Congrats to Ryle on extending the Union backyard brawl win streak to 8 games. Fun game to watch and a nice crowd. Some really good athletes out there for both teams. Ryle seemed to have control but Cooper mixed in some superb long gainers to cut into the 13-3 deficit in the 4Q. Players that stood out to me - For Cooper: White is an excellent running back, a sophomore receiver was super (sorry about name lapse), Lonaker is tough-nosed tackling machine, Alexander is an Alexander, and Cam O’Hara is a very fine frosh QB. For Ryle: Kaden Gardner is a game changer at receiver and on returns and was the most dynamic athlete on the field, Colemire delivers some big hits, Verax manages the game well and fits some clutch passes into tight windows (throws some risky balls), Harden runs really hard, and frosh Savage doesn’t look like a 9th grader. Cooper will have a winning season and challenge CC/Birds for the district title. Ryle needs to improve on offense with Daviess County and Highlands coming to town the next two weeks. Both teams play hard! Well done!
  8. Oscar is one of my favorite Cats ever. To see his emotion after the game speaks a lot to me about his character. Great game again by an amazing young man. I feel bad for all the kids, especially him. The St Peters’ players were much calmer in the clutch, a direct reflection of their coach. I loved his comment after the game when he was asked if he was nervous during the game. He replied “About what?” I guess I’m a Racer fan the rest of the way.
  9. Two really good teams and an excellent win for CovCath. Ashland’s program is top notch. Colonels were outstanding in the second half, especially the 4Q. Congrats Blue Colonels!
  10. Congrats to SHA and great season by the Lady Jags. Solid defense in the loss. SHA is tough and Johnson is D1 special.
  11. You nailed it FC and explained my intent better than I could have done it - lol! Sully does a great job of character and team building. Nothing but respect for him and congrats to the Colonels for advancing and surviving.
  12. Sully is a fantastic coach and proved it again. Great effort by the Jags. Congrats to CovCath on a survive and advance win.
  13. Congrats to the Lady Jags and good luck at state. A nice winning streak and peaking at the right time. I’m sure the Lady Raiders are disappointed but another good season.
  14. Congrats to the Lady Raiders and Coach Haitz. Gutty comeback win when they could have given in when down by 12. A “Bengal-esque” comeback win for the Orange and Black! Great season by NDA, one of the top teams in Kentucky for sure.
  15. No way I vote against Who Dey! Gotta believe it is us. I’d be shocked if the game did not go down to the wire.
  16. That is hilarious. I copy and pasted that from the web. Thanks for catching that. I’d hate for Bengal fans to end up in Florida
