Probably a 1st quarter running clock, 2nd quarter for sure. 

Running clock as quickly as Highlands wants it and a lot of the lower getting plenty of run game practice.

Looking to see some Rio at qb early running clock come out healthy

Not a big fan of the running clock. Don't care about the score but if the coach is smart and getting good game time for the 2's and 3's let them play. What do you get maybe 17-20 plays a quarter with running clock. Second half will probably be 40 minutes real time.

I'd say looking at the Highlands schedule the rest of the way, they can be penciled in at the #1 spot in their district. Will be interesting to see how Highlands handles the playing time for starters for the rest of the regular season. May have the easiest schedule in 5A till week two or three of the playoffs.

Boone, Connor, Scott, then the bottom team in sister district. All potentially running clock games. Could be a month before the Birds get really tested again.

A four hour game. Been there to many times before the clock rule. Some games, short of kneeling 4 plays in a row it’ll last all night.

The key now is not to get anyone hurt yet still keep them sharp.  Good opportunity to give Litmer and the back up RB's some extended reps.

I agree that their regular season schedule should be pretty easy the rest of the way. Now I wouldn’t thinking the playoffs will be easy till the 3rd round. The sister district you speak of has four teams in the top 12 of the RPI. So it will be a tougher 4 seed than most teams will have to face. Then in the second round you are most likely facing either Scott County or Woodford County. The first two rounds of the playoffs should feature some great matchups between the NKY 5A district and their sister district.

Neither of those teams should be able to handle Highlands. If they put 8 in the box to stop the run, they have the guys to throw over it. 3 or 4 on LOS and drop 7-8, Benke and Geisler run over them. The key is if they can stop the other guys.....and I don't think either can sling it like Cooper did. 5A is a pretty solid for those two districts.

Go ahead and use a permanent marker. Highlands will end the regular season 9-1.
