As a Beechwood fan, I like that bracket. Winning the district championship was huge.

The deep rivalry continues into the post season! Highlands and Covington Catholic will be doing battle in the first round of the 9th region tournament. First pitch will be tomorrow (May 27th) at 4:00. If you cannot make it, I'll be live broadcasting the game on bluebirdsradio.com

End of 4th in game 1, Beechwood and Conner scoreless. Flaherty vs Wichmann.

The streak is over. First loss in 6 years in the 9th Region for Beechwood. Conner wins 2-0 in a classic pitchers duel. Wichmann with the 3 hit shutout. Flaherty only allowed 2 hits in the loss. Great game.

Thanks for the update. Beechwood's baseball program is excellent. This is a nice upset win for the Cougars. Congrats to Conner. You never know in baseball when best pitchers are matched in a given game.
