Were you playing or coaching? From what is being said, there were passes attempted, up by 7 TD's, in a hurry up style offense, with less than 3 min to go. Sounds awfully humiliating considering the birds put forth no effort in that regard.

Coming from a person withe below average intelligence and a supporter of a below average program. Ryle will be fine for the future.

Offense: Conner Hempel and Travis Elliott vs. Scott Gray and Vince Murray. Edge to '10 because of the passing threat and the line in front of them is better. Defense: Court Mace and Zack Senvisky vs. Scott Gray and Vince Murray(lol). Edge to '06 because they could change a game in a play and they had more key role players. Special Teams were far better in '06 as well. But because of the few two way players and the more balanced offense, i would say '10 team is better.

9 Seniors on Offense; It has been pretty consistent. The underclassmen being Elliott, of course, and a soph offensive lineman. Defense is a little hard to tell because of so many injuries...Put it this way, they've started about 18 different players, mostly seniors.

You must be kidding. HHS has always done this, on all levels. But you're compadre is correct, it is the other teams job to stop them. You probably feel some sort of redemption through this victory. It is important to go undefeated on JV and keep that streak alive.

It looks to me like some JV Birds could have used a bit more Varsity action. Throwing the ball with a hurry up, with a running clock, is very typical of a Highlands staff (BTW).

A lotta injuries this year in Union. There are some pretty good young football players (particularly sophs) saw their season cut short. IF they come back healthy, Ryle will reload next season.

So your just giving all the info to T huh?? :lol: I am not sure anyone can match up to Mr. Quick but it is about game-planning and utilizing what you have well. One game at a time though...

Not to play against your research, because you are completely accurate with your data, but SK beat Ryle in 07 in regular season before Ryle knocked them out in the post season. They also beat Boone in 05. SK has been moving in the right direction for a few years now and appears to stay competitive. It will certainly be difficult to duplicate the seasons they had in 08 and 09 however. But all it takes is one solid class, complimented by good coaching.

10-15 passing. Could have thrown much more but it wasnt necessary. One turnover by Ryle's special teams made this game close in the first half but Boone really did not stop Ryle's offense too much.

Ryle has played in a FSN Ohio game each of the past three seasons. This is not their first rodeo. However, they are winless...in two road games. Third times a charm! :thumb:

You obviously have not been around a lot of HS football. As difficult of a task as it was to begin a program from scratch, Cooper has risen from doormat to competitive in 3 seasons. Most ridiculed the decision to play a Varsity schedule from the get go but Cooper has proven to be a program on the rise. Maybe what you should be doing is thanking your son's fellow senior class for helping establish the program at Cooper HS. I understand there are high expectations in Boone Co. with football but you have been in a better situation than many schools throughout the state. Borchers has done a fine job and Cooper is improved faster than most would have thought. I personally think Cooper is in better shape for the future than Conner.

Cooper Jaguars vs. Conner Cougars....they must be cousins.

Then that might encourage kids at Highlands to play soccer....
