That will be hashed out in the winter and spring. Ryle will be replacing most of their offensive line, QB, RB, TE, WR's, DL, DE, 3 DB's, and the leading tackler in school history. There is a lot to consider in the off-season but i believe having travis elliott will make it easier to move forward.

How long has the draft been going on in the BCPFL? This is a pitiful ritual IMO. As stated before, kids coming in from other counties so a coaches ego can be boosted with a league championship. This does not help any HS in Boone County. Lastly, referring to a youth coach as a legend is hilarious. Who are we talking about here, Woody Hayes? Sure, he has coached for 100 years and coached some great players. He may be an exception to the norm in the BCPFL but no legend. Ryle has done a great thing by breaking away from the youth league which is NOT a developmental league.

Scott Gray, Vince Murray, and Travis Elliott can thank genetics and hard work, not BCPFL. Further more, this league hindered their development as individuals due to the emphasis on winning and not teaching. Ryle is clearly making an effort to permanently pass Conner and Boone. If you wish to continue to support the pee wee system and their coaches, more power to you. But the system is a joke, the design is a joke. Great players have come from this league but no one should credit the league for their development. I think you will see the benefits of the Ryle feeder program within 3 years.

Folks in Union couldn't disagree more. Yes, Ryle probably had their best team that they've ever had but they were not deep. What the feeder program will do is get more kids involved earlier and keep them interested in the community. Ryle football has forever pulled kids from the BCPFL which feeds 4 public HS's, not to mention all of the Catholics and occasionally Highlands. Ryle's hempel, teepen, mullens, mace were good enough to compete with Trinity's studs. Having this system in place may not produce quicks, bishops, or whites but it will allow them to have more kids like the former and they are less likely to play talent-less kids. Ryle will be able to compete with Trinity again and hopefully its not 3-4-5 years down the road.

If the officials had seen the penalties that were taking place, Trinity would have had 30 to 40 yards more. I know you're used to officials being bullied by the mystique of Trinity HS but I believe you are reacting to the call, not the play. Did you actually see some of the holding penalties they were calling? I bet you think it was not OFF Pass Int also. Trinity is the better team but dont act like Ryle was given gifts by the officials. How about this, maybe if Ryle's players were taught to hold on the perimeter and illegally cut defenders, there may have been a few more holes opened offensively.

Ryle definitely missed on some scoring chances but much credit goes out the young and stout T defense.

There was no play that changed the game. SK never even came close to stopping Ryle's running game and therefore fell out of the game once they turned the ball over in the 3rd and then proceeded to go three and out. Without SK's attempt at a fake punt with a few minutes to go, it is a 2 TD victory. No game changing play last night...

When you play bad 3 times and play well 10 times, that sometimes results in a 10-3 record. Likewise, when you play bad three times, you are likely to lose to better opponents. Simon Kenton had a good football team but it would have taken them to play 100% mistake free football and for Ryle to have played terrible for it to turn out differently. With no offense to Kremer, his ability is no where near the Birds Qb's. Now, his passing is equal to or better than Lawrence but Lawrence has the rushing stats and the decisive victory over CCHS. Kremer has virtually no rushing stats and threw roughly 30 more passes per game. Good overall decision IMO, Congrats to all deserving players and coaches.

I wouldnt say that Boyle Co. is classless but I would say throwing a HB pass up 42-3 late in the game is on the verge. That type of play has no business being called at that particular point in the game.

I agree with 2,3,4. 1 is a little vague. If a team is up 42-0 with 5 min left, anything goes? I think a coach can show good/poor leadership and representation of his team based on these circumstances. One would often like to think, what goes around comes around but everyone knows some teams won't ever be able to be beat the big dogs. From what I've read, Beatty did not show good judgement in game management and conduct himself very well. I know Mueller doesn't conduct himself well in blowouts either. But I suppose those teams who are often blowing teams out are most often scrutinized. Personally if I were in this position, I'd rather be the one talked badly about vs getting my tail kicked.

Jelani Brandon was an impressive player. Other's who were just as impressive, Brandon Berger, Jeremy Madden, and Shaun Randall.

And Dixie beat T several years ago as well. Boone Co. competed against T back when they were the only BC school worth talking about. It can happen and most certainly will happen. And to quote Roman Empire, "MS programs, turf fields, etc (etc. being playing Highlands twice, Colerain, and developing constant success)" will be exactly what Ryle needs to do to beat those powerhouses. Conner will not be able to protect their throwing QB. This game will be over early, IMO. Henry Clay is a different team than they were earlier when they lost to SK. Remember, SK only beat them by a FG.
