Said T by 21 almost nailed it. Trinity was just too big and strong up front and had too many playmakers. White, Quick, Bishop, that takes a lot of speed/ability to stop. Trinity runs a beautiful/deceptive bootleg too. Ryle sure gave it their all, nothing to hang their heads about, nobody is shutting this bad boy down in the bluegrass this year.

Biggest issues for Ryle were inability to generate much offense and quite a few missed tackles on defense. Ryle is a good tackling team, so credit to Trinity for making them miss and shedding tacklers. Ryle could have easily fallen apart after giving up TD on first offensive play and then turning the ball over in their own territory on their first series. But they hung in well and played great defense for 2 1/2 quarters. Ryle had a great season - congrats to coaches and players. Starting to close the gap a little on the Louisville " twin monsters" (meant as a compliment).

 

Deion Mullins is simply a whale of a player on both sides of the ball - and special teams. He's a fun player to watch and should have success at the next level, wherever he decides to play.

Trinity was definitely the faster team tonight and was clearly the difference. Ryle has played very well offensively against everyone they have played all season prior to tonight and they have not been stopped by any defense all season like they were tonight. After seeing this game, it is definitely fair to say that Trinity is the best team in the state.

Congrats to the Rocks. Disappointing end to a great season. Rocks won the battle at the line of scrimmage but Ryle battled like heck. Proud of the Raiders!!

I totally agree with you.

I want to congratulate every player on the field tonight. Trinity for winning the game with class and Ryle for never giving up hope. Not many teams keep their composure after getting burnt for a quick TD like that. It's hard to compete with schools that get their pick of Blue-chippers year in and year out. Union is very proud to call the Raiders our own! Good luck to all of the seniors as you move on in sports and life. It has been a pleasure to watch you over the past few years! Your parents should be proud of the way you represent them and Raider Nation. As for the underclassmen, Follow their lead and strive to be great next year. Good luck to Trinity next week. Just curious if the Trinity fans would consider Ryle a stronger team than this year's Louisivlle St. X team? I am assuming so.
