Ryle played a very good half of football but Trinity's defense was just too much to handle. I came away very impressed with Bishop, he is like a bowling ball with feet. Also impressed with Mullens, he's a very versatile player for the Raiders. I left before Elliott made his long run but prior to that he was a non factor, and that tells me all I need to know about the Trinity defenders.

Just curious if the Trinity fans would consider Ryle a stronger team than this year's Louisivlle St. X team? I am assuming so.

I thought the other running back (12 or 18) was Ryle's best back tonight. Elliott just doesn't have the speed to hurt Trinity's defense.

Hasn't been a single player give Trinity nightmares in quite some time. If I had to guess the last one was Michael Bush.

This Ryle team would beat X. Ryle is the best in state team Trinity played this year. At least IMVHO.

They were from Lexington but you sure couldn't tell from some of their calls. It's always a bit "shakey" shall we say when an official calls a penelty and give the number of the offending player who's not even in the game.

They're not supposed to state the player's number in high school games when announcing a penalty. They just started doing that in college games a couple of years ago...

I saw the 35-page handout that Trinity gives to the media before their games (not sure if they do for every game or just playoffs), but wow! That was one utterly impressive and interesting handout. Someone (likely several people) have put in a ton of time to prepare something like that. If Trinity fans have not seen this thing, you should ask your coach for a copy. It's unreal . . . .

I want to congratulate every player on the field tonight. Trinity for winning the game with class and Ryle for never giving up hope. Not many teams keep their composure after getting burnt for a quick TD like that. It's hard to compete with schools that get their pick of Blue-chippers year in and year out. Union is very proud to call the Raiders our own! Good luck to all of the seniors as you move on in sports and life. It has been a pleasure to watch you over the past few years! Your parents should be proud of the way you represent them and Raider Nation. As for the underclassmen, Follow their lead and strive to be great next year. Good luck to Trinity next week.
