In a post that was erased on the Ryle Simon Kenton game, it was stated that the Simon Kenton students wore shirts that had an extremely vulgar expression, if so this is totally classless and parents and administration should be outraged. the following was my response that was added to post on the game thread.

 

 

How in the world does a parent or administration let this happen, this is totally classless. I know if this happened at NewCath there would be "hell to pay". I remind my daughter and her friends everytime they go out and they are wearing anything with their last name and/or NewCath on it that you not only represent yourself, but your parents, the school, its alum, faculty, & supporters. You are a walking billboard for everything that these individuals stand for. I know they are teens and sometimes might not be thinking. However the more they hear it, hopefully, the more they think before they act or speak.

 

I cringe when I see kids wearing their school spiritwear and they speak or act in ways that would make a parent or teacher want to hide.

Just a few students. Also SK students started to sit on the Ryle side untill some Ryle parents yelled at them that they was going to call the police on them if they didn't move to the SK side and have them arrested now that is classless for you. Instead of asking them nicely to move to their section.

^I doubt that was the case. They probably asked them nicely to move but they didn't in which case the fans/parents overreacted.

 

I would hope some of the parents would have more class than that.

Looks like Ryle's putting their focus on what's on the field, not what's around it. Seems to work for them.

 

BTW, Ryle has very nice facilities.

WE all know there is a home section and visitor's section at ANY game we go to. Not sure what the t-shirts said but I will say, kids will be kids but if they were not appropriate I would have hoped the SK's administration did something about it if not Friday night but at school on Monday.

 

Also, to state Ryle has a trashy facility is absurd. I remember not long ago Simon Kenton's was horrible.

I've seen shirts that have said that from multiple schools in the area its just something that has been around a while and if you in high school everyone has seen it and heard about it. Its been around for years.
