I do have to admit that this is classless, and it makes the schools look like total fools. Go figure, many people really wonder why schools have turned the way they have, it all has to do with the leadership and administration of these schools, which many are a joke. Overall, schools definitely are very different from what they used to be when I went, which had a lot more respect and positive things instilled in them in comparison to now. Rivalries still happened and a few fights may have even taken place here and there, but overall, there was a lot more respect without making the schools like like clowns.

That just shows you how things have changed with some people. If I had disrespected an adult when I was a kid, no matter the situation, my dad would have wore me out. There are too many kids that have no respect for anything or anyone anymore, and it is the fault of their parents.

 

Well said, I wouldn't be able to sit for some time because my father would have beat my rear. It's amazing how some of today's generation have such a lack of respect and it is definitely an indictment on their parents. It could also have something to do with the school systems they come from (private school vs. public, and not all public). I'm sure this last comment is going to create it's own little debate.

 

And in today's world if a parent did that they'd have child services or the police called on them. It's not just the parents but society as a whole folks.

If Ryle would have had security, ushers or who ever to take care of the situations at the game we wouldn't be reading this thread they new it was going to be a huge crow.

The so called adults at SK needed to do something, but the first one on this thread did not even condone it, yet tried to switch the attention away from the students and t-shirts!

 

As was mentioned before, didn't SK play at Ryle already once this year? Is this the first time ever that SK has played at Ryle? You cannot be serious in thinking that anyone would believe that the SK students did not know where they were supposed to sit? Did some of these SK students attempting to invade the Ryle side have these shirts? That would have escalated things!

 

Face it, these SK had these shirts. SK students tried to invade the Ryle side intentionally, why? I don't know besides trying to get under the Ryle's fans skins, maybe in an attempt to "claim their territory", make the Ryle fans move to another location at their own stadium.

SK's coaches and athletes show a lot of class. Their fans and perhaps student body should take a lesson from them.

I just checked my ticket stub and it doesn't say anything about assigned seats maybe Ryle's parents could have have got off the sidelines so others could see the game and act like they have been to a game before.

Where there is smoke there is fire and maybe SK needs to re-think the atmosphere they are allowing to permeate around their program and school. No one can defend the judgement or the intent of anyone wearing such shirts much less trying to sport them on the opposing sidelines. If you are trying to defend it, then you really don't get it. If SK's administration didn't or doesn't deal with it, then they should start a new career and do not belong in the business of shapping kids lives. Too much seems to be going on at SK's campus and now its starting to show in instances like this. This is totally classless regardless of what school you are from and it is a total embarrassment. As far as the kids will be kids..... well I agree... but I also agree that they must learn to deal with consequences when they make bad choices. Its called life.

Prior to each and every KHSAA football game there is a required text read over the PA stating the rules of sportsmanship, you might just want to listen and pay attention to them.

I think the shirts were funny yet I can not believe that someone at SK got a hold of this before the game. It's one thing when Michigan makes the shirts about ohio state of the yankees do about boston, but this is high school

And they won't care. So what's the point in bringing attention to it? If any thing you're just giving them the attention they wanted, why do you think they did it in the first place?
