Are they allowed to wear the shirts in school?

It's starting to feel like SK is loving playing the villain here. That's cool and all, but it all becomes a joke if you don't at least start winning some games. While most hate the Yankees, if they weren't winning a lot, nobody would even care. It feels SK may be on the verge of indifference.

An excellent question. My guess is the football stadium is considered school property; one would think that the rules that govern what is permissible apparel inside the school would apply on all school property. But maybe not.

In regards to school, I would hope not. When it comes to a game, I could care less what they wear. It makes beating them feel that much better. As a DUKE fan, I am quite certain, I have seen my fair share of these type of shirts.

The SK student fan section tonight at the SK/Highlands basketball scrimmage were yelling things at the Highlands players that were just pitiful. My son who was on the court laughed off many of the catcalls but said there were some students making vulgur sexual references toward them. Pretty funny to him but to me it is a disgrace.

^ Sure it is, but kids are ignorant. What disgusts me is the lack of administration rule over said young folk.

And this attitude is why you see classless shirts like this at a high school game folks.

As for the first quote I was referring to brining attention to it on forum such as this, not during the game. Doing it after the fact is in fact doing nothing at all.

This type of behavior seems endemic at Simon Kenton . When NCC played Volleyball there this year the student section was yelling when our girls would serve trying to distract them ,which is not allowed .When the referee stopped the match to inform them of this he was jeered and had to have one male student remo ved from the gym for flippin him off . Told the SK coaches that the game would be forfeit if they didn't make him leave . He left . They shut up . And it didn't work . We won 25-13 , 25-17 .

Not surprising at all! Seems a shame that the administration can't or won't control their students. All that tax money spent on upgrading SK facilities for a bunch of kids who show little or no manners!

You misunderstand me or both of us misunderstand one another. I'm saying acting like it's no big deal and tying parents hands are why this kind of stupidity survives.

Just a few students. Also SK students started to sit on the Ryle side untill some Ryle parents yelled at them that they was going to call the police on them if they didn't move to the SK side and have them arrested now that is classless for you. Instead of asking them nicely to move to their section.

 

How about the full story: The game manager for Ryle politely asked the SK students to move over to their side. The students did not budge. So, a Ryle coach told them to either move right now or the police would be called to move them - nothing said about arresting anyone. The students had their chance to be treated with respect and lost that right since they did not respect and listen to authority. (You should have seen the SK locker room after the game if you want to talk more about SK. I would rather focus on a much more formidable and respectful opponent - T). Good day.

Where they sat is totally irrelvalent to this blog. The shirts were totally classless and if I had any connection to SK I would be embarrased. And no, I don't have a dog in this fight.

That just shows you how things have changed with some people. If I had disrespected an adult when I was a kid, no matter the situation, my dad would have wore me out. There are too many kids that have no respect for anything or anyone anymore, and it is the fault of their parents.
