I think Greenup has better size ,but Russell has better quickness and will tire Greenup out in the end. Still not enough as Greenup will win by 8 when the last buzzer sounds.

Greenup I believed had practiced quite a bit that day also. Maybe that was why some of their passes were off mark a bit. Might have been tired before the Mason scrimmage.

I am going to say LCA just for the fact I have been wrong so many times this year. Lets hope my streak doesnt end. haha

Well that is great Mom55 and I am sure that stuff happens as well everyplace and was not what I really had in mind earlier. The decorated lockers is an awesome moral booster. I know the Russell boosters and parents do a great deal for their team, but like everyplace it usually is just a handfull that take up the majority of the tasks.

I heard they did pretty well. I think Monday or Tuesday they are headed to Russell to play Mason Co. at a same type event as last night.

I have never heard of parents being in the locker rooms at other schools. I know that last year Ashland head coach conducted closed practices becasue of friends I have whos kids played there. I believe maintanance takes care of cutting the grass at Russell but the boosters club does just about everything else. JFL committee takes care of shrubs and flowers under the scoreboard. Cant remember all the details but it involves alot of groups working together to get it all prepared before fridays game.

I didn't have a favorite in this game because both teams are so close to home but now I suppose I find myself rooting for Raceland. Raceland kinda made that decision for me tonight. haha Good Luck Raceland. Make this area of Ky proud. This small area of Ky that rarely gets the respect it deserves. haha GO RAMS!

Congrats to Belfry. They say to be the best you have to beat the best. Russell tried tonight but it more like David and Goliath. You truly deserve this win and good luck in the playoffs. Make Eastern KY proud.

I say Russell by only 7. I think this game will be won in the 4th quarter, but then again I have been wrong alot this year.

I was at the Russell game and I know alot of friends of mine left after halftime to drive down to watch the end of the Raceland game. This area of Ky is starting to make me proud once more. Raceland is dominating...Ashland is pounding....Russell is back running on all cylinders. Great job Russell for the win last night. (oh and Boyd,Fairview, and Greenup are doing great also....just ran out of funny quips)

When I heared the fireworks go off last night I knew something good had happened. Great Job Greenup.

It is cancer awareness night at Russell tonight. If you happen to attend the game wear pink if possible. Hopefully there will be a sea of pink in the stands. Russell has even painted the "R" midfield pink for this night and will be honoring Ivans wife.

Congrats to Ashland.....Way to bounce back...I hope I will be saying the same thing to Russell next week.
