The 2007 squad didn't have a veteran QB and they faired pretty well. The biggest weakness will be the OL. The next weakness will be special teams. Last years special teams were terrible because they put 2nd and 3rd teamers who, for the most part were slow.

You may not want to go there this year. If I was an X fan, I would be talking up their JV team based on what I saw from their freshman team last year. Their pretty tough.......alot tougher than T. Last year's T freshman team was slow all around....

You need to go back down to the River.. Side and have a few cold drinks. Everyone is fully aware that JV stands for Junior Varsity, not sophomore varsity. Wake up. You can't tell me that everyone on Poplar Level Road is happy when their son gets to be a junior and is seating the entire season. Why not give them the reps on JV in case the varsity starter got hurt. Well, this makes too much cents...

30,000+ says this game means reunion time, party time, etc... I think X vs T game is in October this year, so I'm sorry if you thought I meant the regular season game is meaningless. This game helps prepare T to win the final game of the season. Again I say, T will win their 19th, hands down.

Why do high schools hire parents as coaches in the first place? You know it's wrong and you know they're leaving when their kid graduates. Surely a HS can find a qualified person to coach at a varsity level without having to get blood involved. I've seen several HS teams when it's daddy ball and it's not right to the school, teammates and coaches kid.

Bright yellow, green or white......2008 Rocks will win their 19th. Nobody, I mean nobody will stand in their way this year in obtaining another ring. Not saying they will go undefeated, but when the games mean something, they will win.

Long day for everyone. Continuance batting order which was good for the boys. What was ashame was the location of the games. Played on U of L Patterson field which none of the players listed on either rosters were signed with U of L. Game should have been played at U of K, Centre, Georgetown, Morehead, to name a few.........

Do you think the majority of coaches post stats about their teams performance? BGP is a good place to hear about players and their progress. Kudos to the two Trinity boys, Tyler Stephan and Andrew Deeds for making the 2nd team All State. Tyler will be a good pitcher in college and Deeds should do well under Coach Sorg at Morehead State.

Heard from the grape vine, that John King will be playing football at U of L. What type of stats did he have at Trinity to play at a D-1 school?

Coaching dues can't be that much. Surely schools admin would pay the dues. What I'm hearing is that not all coaches vote? Doesn't seem a good/fair system.

Why won't the Bluebirds move up to 6A? Trinity can't move down but Highlands can move up, right? I think we all know the reason why Highlands won't move up!!!!

It's been said that there is a little give and take when giving these kids these honors. Not that it's right, but coaches do alot of positioning for their players. Zach Cox deserved Mr. Baseball. Several players on the second team are just as good, if not better than the 1st team, just depends who was making the noise in the room.

The Rocks were unstopable. Soldi defense and Smyth threw well enough to get the job done. Should be an interesting season.

Only way CAL will win is if they pitch their freshman throwing 40 mph. They are more like an 14U AAU team with good fundamentals. I sure hope Apollo has been practicing against their 7th graders.

X got what they deserved. You cheer when a kid gets thrown out. What class!! X thought T had a better draw, think again. Who cares about this X class winning their freshman/JV years at X. All they will remember is Trinity beat them in football and baseball their senior year. Not that I'm a CAL fan because if T or X played them 10 times, CAL would lose 9 of them. Did those X fans cheer for Stephan and Deeds when they collected their all tournment team award? Good Luck next week CAL......

You are right, there was no way to excuse the ejection, because it should not have happened. If Shutt doesn't hit Deeds in the face with the ball, nothing happens. Baseball is just as competitive as football and officals overlook alot more in other sports. I didn't see any coaches yelling at Deeds either, so....they saw something that you nor I saw. Bottom line, his actions didn't hurt the team......his actions should have got his teammates fired up to do something at the plate.

There has been concern since day one, but the Rock faithful relied on their coaches knowledge of the game. Would an upperclassman done better, we will never know.

CAL is calling up an 8th grader who throws 50 mph. X will need to move to the front of the box. Good luck.
