Not sure, is someone trying to start an unfounded rumor?

Besides the big game being played on Poplar Level Road, the Rocks and the Bulldogs were in their own game. Paul Hohmann pitched a good game for the Rocks and Jon Rueff finished it off with his 100 mph fast ball. It wasn't the best played game by either team with the Rock's infield making 4-6 errors ???and Male had their share. Berry coming out of a slump hit 2 HR's while Deeds continues with another HR. Wish the Rocks had a home field like the Bulldogs.

Tyler Stephan pitched a whale of a game. Trinity was up like 9-1 going into the last inning and Coach Tompkins puts in reliever Koester and Strohmeier to end the game on the hill. Well, it almost back fired, but the defense held. Bats did not wake up until 3-4th inning for the Rocks, but when they did, L.C. had no idea what hit them.

My first prediction was wrong about Amlung, so I better say X will win since Amlung is pitching. But, PRP batters like the fast ball, so he better have something other than a curve ball....like a split finger fast ball, two seem, slider, fork ball or maybe a knuckle ball to beat PRP. Should be a good one.

This was the score in the Trinity vs Bryan Station game. Corey Littrell pitched the entire game and did very well after the first inning. Several players bats were hot, Hartlage, O'shagnessy, Deeds (HR), Bowling. If the bats stay hot, the Rocks should do well the end of May.

All Tell....it's the experence factor your not considering in the error category. Don't get me wrong, I support the T faithful and Tompkins decisions, but we all have opinions. Wow, "me first" attitude!! That's a new one. But, lets say they do have an attitude. Is that bad thing or do the kids have confidence in their ability to get the job done? I would think most coaches would want alittle of that in their players.

Not sure if this is part of the Fayette County Tourney, but Trinity plays Johnson Central Friday night (7:30pm), then Lex Christian (12:30pm) and Bryan Station (5:30pm) on Saturday. Two of these games will be without several seniors, should be interesting. It appears X will have their hands full. What are the times for X's games and location?

You are exactly right about NO FATHERS COACHING. But, why does Coach Tompkins allow two fathers on the practice field? These two fathers coach with Stoner (batting coach) during the off season. This is just an observation that has never been seen on the field in past. I do hope your 100% certainty is correct because this team has some good pitchers. I have seen underclassman in the past make critical errors when it really counts. GO ROCKS.....

Favorite has to be X. X beats Ballard, X beats Eastern with underclassman, X may have lost to Trinity, but X's best batter did not play (in JR opinion), but now healthy. Ballard, Seneca, Trinity, Eastern will show up, but X by far will take it all.

Slow down Jimmy, football is totally different than baseball, so lets not compare oranges to apple.

Ballard may need to go back to techiques of sliding class 101?

One game guys. Anything can happen in one game.

Providence won in the bottom of the 8th. Trinity had the lead early, but decided to put the bats to sleep. Providence is a solid team and should do well in Indiana. I hope the kid from Providence (on deck batter) who ran behind home plate during a play at home is alright. Ball was thrown from second over the catchers head, hits this kid in the face. He was able to walk away, but might have broken his nose. Six days between games is too long to take off....it showed last night.

Berry only started because Deeds did not play. Brady was a player, period. Graven didn't play varsity until his junior year and Holland's dad coached, but was asked to step down. Tompkins doesn't have a problem evaluating players, but the impression has been given regarding politics.

Roc, why do you think Ballard would be favored if Amlung pitches? Some people thinK he is a BP pitcher.

If Bugh pitches, Ballard has a chance. If Bloch pitches, favor goes to X. Amlung pitches, favor goes to Ballard.

There are several teams who can beat PRP this year. If they're making errors in front of scouts, then they'll make errors when it really counts. I hope I don't see dirt being thrown! See ya...

You made the comment about Seniors not getting looks by Divison 1 schools. Andrew Deeds is a SR and the most over looked player on this team. I bet his BA and on base average is higher than Berry's (pre-season All State player). Only reason he's not getting looks is because he did not play last year, football injury. Tompkins is slowly making changes which may prove to be benefical towards end of May, but the verdict is still out. Knowledgeable people don't always equal best person for the job when you talk about Stoner and Littrell. May will tell the story to the 2008 season......Good Luck Rocks....

Get their field looking like the baseball field. Take some pride in the sport. Don't be a jerk to the private schools. Work on the small things in practice.

Not sure of the sophomores name but he is tall, like 6'5". Kicks the ball a mile high, but never to the end zone. I'm sure after a year of weights, the distance will be there.
