  1. WOW. Only 6 coaching staffs, 6 teams, 6 communities know whats going on. No wonder we are so far behind in football. So I guess the schools that won last year but not this year just all of a sudden became football retarded. Do you think if Highlands and Trinitys coaches switched with the 2 teams they beat who would have won?
  2. Kentucky football does not produce a 4 and 5 star recruits but to say the schools who win do it because all the others don't work as hard or do it right is no where near true. Do you think the players and coaches at at the 6 championship schools won becaused they worked harder and there schools and communities ran the programs like they should and the runner-ups didn't. Steve Spurrier said after coaching at Washington that he learned that the players and coaches who didn't win worked as hard and sometimes harder that the teams that did. I agree with that completely.
  3. I'm don't think it would be alot better but I think it would be as good.
  4. I saw Trinity had 16 seniors. They usually have close to 100 Freshmen. Are the players that stop playing from 9th to 12th grade cut from team or just weed themself out or both?
  5. There where some bad games this year but no way 6 teams in finals draws more than 12. If you want to increase attendance play in an indoor facility and serve alcohol.
  6. Letting everyone on has nothing to do with finals being blowouts. There were some very good games unfortunatly only 1 was a final. Maybe the next 4 years have the semi-finals seeded. 1vs 4 and 2vs 3. The KHSAA would have to come up with some seeding process but it could help improve final games.
  7. There would be 9-10 teams per district. To me to many district games. With only 1 or 2 weeks to play old rivalries and bowl games. I believe 4 or 5 but we are stuck with 6 for 4 more years.
  8. I did post 3 classes earlier but 8-9-10 teams in district would mean only 1-2 or 3 games out of district and ALOT of old rivalries would be gone. We are stuck with 6 classes at least 4 more years.
  9. Combine 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6. Take top 4 from 8-9-10 team districts and have 3 classes.
  10. I didn't think any would be under 14. Believe I'm gonna miss 1. Why I stayed home.
  11. I just think the officials need to know the rules and HUSTLE!!! If you watch an official for a couple of plays and he's watching the BALL it is not a good sign.
  12. I have several ???"s I do not know the answer to. If a student has the $$ can they be turned down at a private school? If a student has low test scores, attendance problems, discipline problems from other schools will they be turned down? What is tuition at private schools? How much aid can a student receive? What is the aid based on as far as how much $$ parents make? Is there a discount if you have more than 1 child in the school? If a parent works in the school do students go for free? Do parents who volunteer for activities receive credit? Sorry for so many ??'s but I know the answers to none of these.
  13. I was at the game. My ??? is if there are 4 penalties in a row should they not call them. The 1st pass interference was to far awy for me to see clearly but the 1 on NCC side line was IMO a very good call. They did start the clock 1 time after an incomplete pass and I didnt understand that.
  14. Can't anyone win when they have the right players? I thought a great coach would be one that would win it, when he didn't have the right players. What if T and X have the right players the same year?
  15. And they will add a few more to the group the next 3 years!
  16. The score was 35-35. Does that mean KC didn't look good at all also?
  17. I agree. Schools can increase success rate with community involvement, but I think it's really hard for county schools to achieve that. I'm not crying about anything actually you seem to be the 1 upset here. I'm proud of our little school with 200 students in high school. If it were not for community and parental involvment we would have nothing. I didn't agree with not playing that year but it wasn't my call.
  18. My community is Williamsburg and ALL our programs are supported. I believe Bell, Boyle and the successful county schools are the exception. To think all can be successful is crazy. To think the private schools along with HHS dont have an advantage is rediculous.
  19. These schools are the exceptions. To think economics is a lame excuse is unreal. How many times have T, X, HHS, Bwood, LCA, LCath had players miss practice or have to quit because parents couldnt afford gas or needed them to work to help pay bills instead of play ball. This is not the norm but it happens and if it happens to 2,3, 4 kids per class it makes a huge differnece
  20. I agree but getting kids to practice at a county school where parents have to drive them 20-40- miles round trip or kids have to ride activity bus home the same distance is a different animal. Schools with 75-98% free reduced lunch. Average household income is 14-$18,000. What Dudley Hilton has done at Bell Co could not be done by more than a handfull of coaches.
  21. He CANNOT be moving forward at snap.
  22. I'll add another place. Look for Coach Rains to be in Georgia next year or possible wait until 2012.
  23. Didnt take it that way. If the 2 play I think it could be a very good game.Hazard looks more like a 4A or 5A team. They beat a good Clay Co.team convincingly.
