Are these the least competitive finals ever? Is there any other years where the margin of victory has been this bad?

OUCH... Hopefully Male can make a game of it with Trinity.

I didn't think any would be under 14. Believe I'm gonna miss 1. Why I stayed home.

So glad that I didn't make the drive down. I'm glad that the two teams from NKY won their titles, but I like to see a decent game. The only game that would have been worth making the drive for as far as seeing a good game would have been Boyle and Allen.

This will probably be the worst finals in history based on margin of victory. I think the average is around 35 right now and with Trinity heading that way, it is going to keep the average up. Someone mentioned 2001, the average was only 22 which is what the average has been the last few years. The big blowouts skew the numbers but still think this is the worst.

The finals look like the first round of the playoffs!

KHSAA needs to fix this. What a joke.

4-6 Ohio finals were blowouts

5-5 was won by a prvt school team

1 game matched two public school teams giving the public school their only win

Attendance was down in all games where the attendance was posted by the OHSAA

4-6 Ohio finals were blowouts

 

Thanks for posting. I think a lot of people on here think that KY is unique in having blowouts in their finals.

 

"Heck", the stinkin' Super Bowl is a blowout, more often than not.

For argument sake how would these games have gone if we were at 3 classes....

 

1A Mayfield vs 2A Newport Catholic (IMO best game of the 3)

3A Central vs 4A Boyle (Could Boyle win this one by more than they actually won 4A by)

5A Highlands vs 6A Trinity (Trinity by 3 TD's in a pretty good game)
