Per the CJ Newspaper: Creque also had preferred walk-on offers from Florida and Western Kentucky, a scholarship offer from Southern and an offer to play at Morehead State, which doesn't give scholarships. But he considered the Cardinals, if they were to take a kicker, his top option all along, and attended all but one U of L home game.

Sounds like he found something better for him and his family...that is the only reason he gave me as to why he would leave TMC on January 9th! I believe he was an Elder Grad...he loved the Elder kids on the TMC Football Team. Could this head coaching change lead more recruits over the river to the Mount?

The foul on Bolden, the Ballard kid did not even go after the ball, wrapped arms all the way around Bolden. The intentional foul on McClendon was ridiculous...McClendon fouled the Ballard kid hard, as coached, and actually had 2 hands on the ball so the kid could not even get the ball to the rim. I watched games Saturday and Sunday in this tournament, all NKY Games closely. NKY teams do not have a chance of winning this tournament, ever. The officiating is blatant and predictable when there is a lead when playing a Louisville team...the refs take the game out of the players hands. Regardless of what anyone states on BGP, both NKY Teams were taken out of their 1st games in the 2nd half due to officiating, I have never seen anything like it! This tournament means nothing when it comes to the bigger picture, District & Regional Tournaments, but it is discouraging to see ADULT REFS control the outcome of the games.

This has the potential to become a very, very nice facility for the youth of Covington and the CIPS District!

Whatever, Jacob wouldn't even be playing football...besides NCC has other players that would step up like they have all year. Jacob is where he needs to be...just ask his mother!

Holmes does not charge Holy Cross to play on their field, not an issue at all in Covington and/or with Holmes. This is referred to as good community relations and both school systems understand doing what is best for students. Too much sour grapes crap on this side of the Licking River with this Public / Parochial issue in Newport. You fail to remember that Newport field renovation involved tax dollars from families that send their students to NewCath and those families continue to pay taxes to support public education! $1800.00 is not a bargin, it is a crime!

LB, let them continue to doubt the Breds! The Untalented Senior Class, Fairly Decent Junior Class, and Sophomore Class Drop Off does have Unfinished Business...those kids will eat this up, keep on doubting!

Level 2 Coaches An individual seeking a coaching position at the high school level shall be categorized as Level 2 if that individual meets the following criteria prior to assignment to coaching duties and does not meet the qualifications of Level 1: (1) Shall be a high school graduate and 21 years of age; (2) Shall not be a violent offender or convicted of a sex crime as defined by KRS 17.165 that is classified as a felony; (3) Shall submit to a criminal record check under KRS 160.380; (4) Shall meet one of the following additional qualifications: i. Have graduated from a public or accredited high school and hold a provisional or standard teaching certificate; ii. Have completed sixty-four semester hours of college credit from an accredited college or university as documented by an official transcript;

Too much free time, speaking for my own kids...they hated the extended time off! Most kids like a structured day that is consistent, even in the summer.

Dan Ridder is a huge addition for BBHS to say the least! Not only is he a great man, he is a great motivator with a vey positive attitude and outlook on life! He is about accountability, for the young and old! am saddened and jealous that he did not become than principal on the Hill! Wishing nothing but the best and most success to Danny Ridder and his endeavors at BBHS!

No brainer...congratulations Kevin Gray! As Coach Gray says, "We work our butts off!" Indeed they did! Well deserved honor my friend!

Enrollment has actually increased over the last 3 years for CIPS District.

The Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial (TEAM) Foundation is named for the man known as both "Mr. Bulldog" and "Coach," Tom Ellis, Senior. Mr. Ellis was one of the last in Kentucky to serve simultaneously in four athletic positions—as Head Coach of the football, baseball and basketball teams, and as Athletic Director while at Holmes High School, and accounting for more than 1,100 wins in the process. Before coming to Holmes, Mr. Ellis taught aeronautics, served as principal, and was the football and basketball coach in Bardstown, Kentucky. Mr. Ellis retired from education in 1973 and passed away in 1988 at the age of 83. Having been named coach of the year twice, Mr. Ellis left a profound and lasting impact on the students he taught and coached, and in the communities in which he lived and worked throughout his career.

The Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial Foundation A Capital Campaign to Build a Multi-Purpose Outdoor Athletic and Activity Field at Holmes High School The Proposed Field The vision for the Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial (TEAM) Foundation is to provide a new, multi-purpose athletic and activity field and focus on the health and development of our youth. The current Bermuda grass field exceeds 20 years and is functionally obsolete. Through the TEAM Foundation, we hope to upgrade to a synthetic turf that will provide a state-of-the-art field that will make a considerable impact on our youth and our region. This new proposed athletic complex will not only include the artificial turf field, but also a new track, scoreboard, and provide ongoing maintenance costs.

Congratulations to Coach Kevin Gray, his staff, and the Ludlow Panthers on a great start to the season! Wishing Coach Gray and the Panthers nothing but the best and most success the remainder of the season.

I am sad to see Kevin Gray leave the NCC Program for selfish reasons...I was hopeful my son would have the opportunity to play baseball for him this year. Kevin will be very good for the Ludlow Boys regarding all aspects of the game of baseball and life lessons in general. Definitely a great hire...the Panthers better be prepared to work hard at all times! Wishing Kevin nothing but the best and most success!
