  1. The Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial (TEAM) Foundation is named for the man known as both "Mr. Bulldog" and "Coach," Tom Ellis, Senior. Mr. Ellis was one of the last in Kentucky to serve simultaneously in four athletic positions—as Head Coach of the football, baseball and basketball teams, and as Athletic Director while at Holmes High School, and accounting for more than 1,100 wins in the process. Before coming to Holmes, Mr. Ellis taught aeronautics, served as principal, and was the football and basketball coach in Bardstown, Kentucky. Mr. Ellis retired from education in 1973 and passed away in 1988 at the age of 83. Having been named coach of the year twice, Mr. Ellis left a profound and lasting impact on the students he taught and coached, and in the communities in which he lived and worked throughout his career.
  2. This will be awesome for the kids in Covington! The Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial Foundation A Capital Campaign to Build a Multi-Purpose Outdoor Athletic and Activity Field at Holmes High School The Proposed Field The vision for the Tom Ellis Athletic Memorial (TEAM) Foundation is to provide a new, multi-purpose athletic and activity field and focus on the health and development of our youth. The current Bermuda grass field exceeds 20 years and is functionally obsolete. Through the TEAM Foundation, we hope to upgrade to a synthetic turf that will provide a state-of-the-art field that will make a considerable impact on our youth and our region. This new proposed athletic complex will not only include the artificial turf field, but also a new track, scoreboard, and provide ongoing maintenance costs.
  3. Congratulations to Coach Kevin Gray, his staff, and the Ludlow Panthers on a great start to the season! Wishing Coach Gray and the Panthers nothing but the best and most success the remainder of the season.
  4. Lol, I feel your pain...I am thankful for my boys everyday! You do great work on here!
  5. And....McDonald did a little bit of everything and even threw one down as he ran the floor! WTH LB13, he even led the Breds in scoring...show the kid some love! Franzen provided some very valuable minutes! Great job Mac and all the Breds!
  6. I am sad to see Kevin Gray leave the NCC Program for selfish reasons...I was hopeful my son would have the opportunity to play baseball for him this year. Kevin will be very good for the Ludlow Boys regarding all aspects of the game of baseball and life lessons in general. Definitely a great hire...the Panthers better be prepared to work hard at all times! Wishing Kevin nothing but the best and most success!
  7. Like seeing the props for Brent Angel! Kid plays hard and does not always get the recognition he deserves as a very talented and competitive athlete.
  8. Why do you quit going to Kiernan inside and have her float outside when she is being face guarded by a player 4 inches shorter than her? Makes zero sense!
  9. Lots are clear and the game is still on as of now...contacting Trinity to see if they can make the trip.
  10. Congrats to those recognized, this 221# speaks volumes and truly does not recognize all players deserving the recognition throughout KY regardless of what Clyde says!
  11. Glad to hear B. Buten played an excellent game tonight! Kid has spent a lot of time in the gym, battled through injuries, and could have given up a couple of years ago...kid is a class act and a competitor! Keep playing hard B!
  12. Very glad to hear Ted is improving! Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this most challenging time.
  13. Great young man and family! Would have loved to see him go on and play football somewhere, however, baseball is his passion and love. Good luck Cape...wishing you the best and most success!
  14. You are definitely on target when you say frustrating, NewCath tried their very best to hand the game to BW in the first quarter. NewCath showed a lot of composure and heart by battling through the turnovers and playing hard nosed defense. Mac showed a lot of composure and leadership by fighting through the turnovers and leading his team to a victory. I wouldn't say NewCath made the right play calls, I would say the players executed and played to their abilities. Definitely a very exciting and frustrating game. I do believe the best team won the game today! Wishing all nothing but a speedy recovery to all those injured and a long / successful playoff run to Bowling Green for both/all NKY teams!
  15. Great seeing Brent Angel getting more balls thrown his way. That mismatch could have been taken advantage of all night. Congrats to Brent on a great game...loved watching him run after the catch, defintely not going down easy and punished some would be tacklers. Good luck the rest of the season!
