You are definitely on target when you say frustrating, NewCath tried their very best to hand the game to BW in the first quarter. NewCath showed a lot of composure and heart by battling through the turnovers and playing hard nosed defense. Mac showed a lot of composure and leadership by fighting through the turnovers and leading his team to a victory. I wouldn't say NewCath made the right play calls, I would say the players executed and played to their abilities. Definitely a very exciting and frustrating game. I do believe the best team won the game today! Wishing all nothing but a speedy recovery to all those injured and a long / successful playoff run to Bowling Green for both/all NKY teams!

Great seeing Brent Angel getting more balls thrown his way. That mismatch could have been taken advantage of all night. Congrats to Brent on a great game...loved watching him run after the catch, defintely not going down easy and punished some would be tacklers. Good luck the rest of the season!

Not sure about that, just happened to go to this game tonight and was told these kids are not playing JV....zero sophs playing at the FROSH level.

NewCath had around 19, that includes several standing on the sidelines in a jersey and shorts. . Lloyd had a sideline full...not sure about their numbers.

Just watched the game again...this game was one of the most exciting games ever in NKY. Dan Ridder was an excellent high school football coach and is even a better man. This group of players worked hard day in and day out and always left it all on the field. They have grown up to become great men!

"Sophomore Kicker Jared Daugherty was putting on a clinic with his booming kickoffs. No better place to show your foot than on ESPNU. I am guessing he will get some major looks as well with his foot." The booming kicks and extra points by Dougherty were impressive the entire game. Jared's leg is a huge weapon for the Birds and he is only a Sophomore! Looking forward to watching this young man play for the Birds on the Off/Def side of the ball.

I apologize for failing to mention Evan's name. Just another great young man and key player in this tournament championship! Thanks JOAT!

The Omega Rockets start the 2013 season by finishing 4-1 to win the 3rd Annual Memorial Bash in Mason. Great Memorial Weekend of Baseball with solid pitching, fielding, and hitting.

Bulldogs make FT's in regulation and feed the ball inside to Chames w/the mismatch...Bulldogs win in regulation. With that said, I wish the Holmes seniors nothing but the best in all their future endeavors! Holmes represented NKY very well, congratulations on an unbelievable season!
