It is pretty sad the way staff is being handled in Ludllow. Are decisions regarding coaching/staffing being made by the superintendent so he keeps his job? There are a lot of rumblings going on about the various reasons behind the changes that are being made. It is unfortunate, many well known names/families leaving this community to go to other schools that would not have several years ago.

A choice will be made on Monday.

Booher interviewed today for the Holmes job. They are interviewing 7-8 applicants from Ohio and KY.

If you know Coach Minor, coaching will always be in his blood. He will make that choice if an opportunity presents itself.

Coach Minor is not stepping down as the head coach because the player mentioned in this thread is leaving. Coach Minor has young children and I am sure he is going to get more involved in their lives. As far as the player leaving, as stated earlier, I believe the player will remain at HC and her brother will attend as well.

At this point he will remain as a teacher. I would hope he has a chance to coach boys basketball somewhere in the near future.

Minor has stepped down as the head coach. I would believe the Beal Family, brother will join sister, will remain at Holy Cross.

Coach Wimzie is a great mentor and coach! He will always be a key member of the basketball staff if he chooses to do so. With that said, I am sure the school district is going to hire a certified person for this position. There have been a handful of coaches throughout the state that have contacted CIPS about this position. I look for a committee to be established, applicants will be narrowed down, and a handful will be interviewed. I believe the final decision will be made by the Principal, AD, and Superintendent based upon who will be the best fit for the population of students CIPS serves.

Many coaches throughout the state are inquiring about this position. I personally like Coach Sullivan for the position. I believe he has the demeanor and knowledge to get the best out of all future Bulldogs with the support of the remaining basketball staff.

Congratulation to Elijah! I am thankful that this young man has made it this far considering his surroundings that he has zero control over. Elijah is a great kid that has fought hard to get where he is today with a lot of support from the Holmes Staff at all levels. Good luck kid and we look forward to watching you play at the next level!

Based upon what I know about the situation with this Holmes player not participating goes back to the issues that took place during the finals of the 9th Region Tournament. The coach did have a say in this situation.

Omega Flight is playing in a Hoops Tourney. They are 2-0 and playing solid on both ends of the floor. Heard Gray, McDonald, Neff, and Pangallo played like men in the 2nd game! Congratulations to the Wildcats...keep playing hard and stay focused!
