Score was NCC 6 Highlands 2 after the 5th! Jeramie Connor pitched for NCC giving up only 2 hits, 2 unearned runs, 1 walk, 8 strike outs. Alex Pangallo hit a 2 run homer for the Breds!!!!

Is there a few really good pitchers out there Estes, Coffmann, Fransen?

Ryle SS last year was Wagner if I remember correctly. That kid would've played short for any team in NKY which is why O'hara didn't get moved up. With Helmer, Leatherby and O'hara Ryle has a a few options because all can hit have good speed and solid gloves. Helmer has tremendous arm strength which will hurt O'hara but I'm sure Leatherby will be the man!

I'm a fan of Caoch Jones and the Wildcats at Gallatin Co. Coach Jones does a fantastic job on and off the court with those boys. Even though I'm not related to anyone on the team the Wildcats have had a place in my heart for several years!!!! Great year Wildcats enjoy and be proud of your success!:thumb:

Good game but the laziest ref crew I've ever seen!!!!

Not hearing much from NCC? I know they have a few solid players in the Jr class, saw Kelly and Connor playing summer ball together.

Everyone new that NCC wasn't going to stop McGraw and or Simpson if NCC played 8 on 5? So why don't you at least attempt to trade a few baskets? NCC has the shooters to do that? Are they as good as McGraw? Pure shooting yes! Meyer watched the entire game and could've given Pangallo a break and shoots very well. Pangallo is asked to do to much and NCC isn't getting anyone else ready to help him? It's ridiculous to think that Meyer can't give him a few minutes rest? No one was going to stop Highlands so why not try some offense?

I don't think the refs had anything to do with this one, not a 20 pt margin? Lipscomb's charge was the correct call IMO. There are always questionable calls that's part of it. I do agree with NYRanger above wondering why you have shooters not getting shots off? Highlands defense was smart in letting the young Geisler (1 for??) and Pangallo(0 for??) shoot 3's. Lipscomb shot only 3X from the trey none off a back screen double screen ect.. all on his own and Connor while coming off the bench shot 2X once appearing to get fouled or losing the ball on the way up facing the same no screens anything. Would love to know what NCC shot % wise in the paint? NCC made a line up change that seemed to hurt them. Ollberding looked to be the main rebounder for the Breds but didn't play much? Highlands is capable of winning the 9th region with their physical play! Simpson isn't full strength yet and McGraw is flat out tough!

They don't come any better than Bowls! He's a great guy, great trainer, and great father. Sure he put his daughter at Boone Cty. but that was about her not him. He loves Beechwood and always will. Don't confuse being a parent with school spirit!!!! Good Luck Bowls!

NCC shouldn't run but needs to get up the floor before Highlands can set up the defense and find their man. You can bet Willie will be attacking Pangallo trying to force the ball into Beiting's hands being he's not the best ball handler on the court and doesn't score well. I'm sure we'll see Beiting guarding Simpson which will make for a good match up!

NCC is to easy to defend inside only because they don't work in and out and Highlands is to strong. NCC can attack better if they let Pangallo take off a few times. Is Simpson ready to run after being out hurt? Hasn't Mcgraw been dealing with an injury as well? NCC better play to their strengths and attack HHS weakness (which are very few). Not a track meet, NCC let's the defense set up before they play and should attack a little sooner to get shots off! I'm complimenting HHS aggessvie play here.

Not sure about the rebounding stats but that is probably somewhat accurate but I was talking about the scoring or there lack of. NCC isn't putting points on the board these days but that could change if they figure out how to get the ball to the shooters? And I think your a little or way off on the height try 5'10 and 6'3. If NCC runs they get Highlands into foul trouble and Simpson McGraw would have trouble running. If NCC scores over 55 they win but can't do that without Lipscomb and Connor, if it's a low scoring game HHS comes out on top.

I don't think Geisler can control the paint. He's struggled against players within an inch of his 6'3 height all year. NCC has seemed to go away from the 3 ball? Lipscomb is not getting shots off from the outside but is going to the basket well and Connor hasn't played much the past several games thus NCC is struggling to score? If NCC guards the 3 point line like they did against Holmes, Highlands might run away with it they can fill it up! Hopefully Geisler comes ready to bang and will get the ball to Lipscomb and he gets hot. NCC will compete and be tough to beat but HHS will win the physical part no question. Bottom line if NCC shoots well they can win if they go inside and it doesn't come back out Highlands by 18.

I've heard of a split the pot at an Elder game where the winner took home 7500!!!!!

You can probably watch pregame and tell by the attitude of the players what the outcome of the game will be!

NCC had to hurry the ball up the court to avoid the 10 second call once past the half court mark they slowed it down which worked. NCC won't win many games only scoring in the 40's. NCC won how they did who cares! They won!

Sat on the NCC side and heard several comments from NCC fans about the lack of offense latley? Maley is an athlete but seems to get distracted easily, he could've taken over that game if he wanted too. Lipscomb didn't hit his shots until late and Connor only shot 3 times? Ryle's defense did a good job taking advantage of NCC not getting the ball to the shooters and letting NCC's lesser shooters shoot? Mcliesh is a player and stayed with Lipscomb pretty hard and no one got him open? Can't understand why Lipscomb isn't coming off double screens. When NCC plays a team with a center that can stop Geilser they crumble and they have fantastic shooters but they dont get them into the flow of the game. Pangallo's foul trouble hurt a little but didn't effect the outcome.
