Good win for the Raiders. NC's #12 is quite a player and I really enjoyed watching him play although his foul trouble was a key in the game. NC's #13 hit a couple of big treys to bring NC back when it looked like Ryle was taking control of the game. Nice drive by Ryle's Andy Ahern to score the winning basket with 8 seconds left after Ryle had led most of the game. NC took their first lead of the second half when #13 hit a nice runner with 15 ticks left. Fortunately for Raider fans, he missed the free throw. Both teams got after it defensively all night long. Good H.S. game to watch.

Congrats to Ryle! Perhaps a little "Holmes hangover" for NCC?? Really...only 1 game left that matters for NCC!

I find myself more and more impressed with Ahern's penetration/pass ability and willingness to shoot the ball more, two things he definitely needed to improve on from last year. He and McLeish make a solid combination handling the ball for Ryle.

Ryle may be hitting thier stride at the right time, could be a tough out for the Crusaders in the 33rd.

NCC has been to inconsistent all year long

agree 100%

They looked pretty solid early on what's different?

No excuses although I'm sure they're looking ahead. And what a tough place to play. Nobody shows up for the game. NCC has exams all week, maybe it's the same for Ryle. But with 1700 students at the school, you would think some would show up. Ryle had more cheerleaders there than fans.

no different than any other place these days!

Very boring game to watch. Pangallo being in foul trouble was the difference. NewCath was stuck on 17 from the 6 minute mark in the 2nd quarter to the 6 min. mark in the 3rd.

Sat on the NCC side and heard several comments from NCC fans about the lack of offense latley? Maley is an athlete but seems to get distracted easily, he could've taken over that game if he wanted too. Lipscomb didn't hit his shots until late and Connor only shot 3 times? Ryle's defense did a good job taking advantage of NCC not getting the ball to the shooters and letting NCC's lesser shooters shoot? Mcliesh is a player and stayed with Lipscomb pretty hard and no one got him open? Can't understand why Lipscomb isn't coming off double screens. When NCC plays a team with a center that can stop Geilser they crumble and they have fantastic shooters but they dont get them into the flow of the game. Pangallo's foul trouble hurt a little but didn't effect the outcome.

Maybe their just playin' their cards close to the vest...don't want to tip off any little birdies!!

Ryle gave St. Henry their one district loss (48-46) this season. St. Henry won their two other district games by 1 point each. I don't think the Crusaders are expecting any "gimme" games next week. I would expect the Ryle / St. Henry rematch to be just as tight as the first game.

Congrats to Ryle as they seem to be peaking at the right time. Should make for a great District Tourney.
