Beechwood vs. Holmes

Featured Replies

Does Beechwood have a chance?

A chance? Yes, everyone has a chance this time of year. How big? A very small chance, the dogs beat them by 30 at Beechwood earlier this year, I expect they will be resting starters in this one.

Holmes by 25 or 40 if they want!

When is the game???

Wednesday at 6:00.

Beechwood has no chance. Holmes by 20+ unless they rest their starters most of the game. Then it will be a little closer but never in doubt.

Holmes beat Beechwood by 30 AT Beechwood. I don't see Holmes playing their starters more than 2 quarters. With Holmes being at hoe this one, Holmes by 20 +. It will get ugly.

Beechwood just doesn't match up well with Holmes.

Holmes 71-51.

Holmes by alot. Beechwood is having a very good year. They ran the table against Division III opponents. The Tigers beat Holy Cross and played Cov. Cath. very solid. Beechwood had the opportunity to play Holmes in the tiny confines of their home gym but requested and received permission to switch the 35th District tournament site to Holmes. Granted, Holmes would be the favorite regardless of where the game is played (Covington, Ft. Mitchell, Baghdad, outdoor on the ice at Ralph Wilson stadium). But, whatever chance Beechwood might have had (5-10%) of pulling the upset on their home court went down to about .0001% playing in Covington.

As much as I am going to enjoy watching the bulldogs making a run downstate, I would love to see the tigers pull off the upset.

However, the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim.

With that being said... Go Beechwood.

Why would Beechwood not want to host the tournament? Wouldn't happen in football.
