agree very much accept the offensive production needs to come from Meyer and Connor but won't happen if the bigger players won't set picks? Pangallo handles the ball well but to much one on one but did keep the came close in the 4th. Geisler was spectacular!!! Hopefully he can keep it up. Connor and Meyer looked to be the better defenders as Meyer did a nice job on Giwa several times but seemed to be asigned to guard someone else? Connor was fighting very hard on the boards as was Meyer. NCC is a good team and well rounded. Holy Cross plays very hard!

I agree however we must not confuse "cockiness" with confidence and unless you've talked with him you cannot make an educated comment on that. I actually used to think that Luke Maile was cocky then one day I congratulated him on a nice game he was every bit a gentleman.

I agree which is why I feel as stated earlier his lack of experience may hurt him but he'll come along fine.

Connor has to prove himself going to the basket which Meyer is at best ok there. However Connor is much better outside which is why I think they'' compliment each other. So I guess maybe neither are "complete" offensivley. None the less if those two aren't getting the ball NCC might not score!

if you score 94 who cares if one player on the other team scores 50! I'd love to know how many times the guy hat scored 37 shot the ball and how many times he touched it which I'm sure high school stats are not kept on touches?

if NCC doesn't run with Pangallo, Connor and Meyer they'll have trouble scoring out of a set. Meyer is a good player but his lack of expierence might hurt him. Over all best offensive threat would be Connor however they should compliment each other very well!

Holy Cross plays a very hard man to man defense which will cause alot of trouble for Geisler who is probably the go to man on offense for NCC this year. Should be an interesting game to watch!!!! I don't Pangallo will have much trouble starting the offense against Giwa.

Nate Rawe is as solid as they come player and person. Nate will probably be the SS. He was sort of a utility man last year but should anchor the middle with Connor this year.

1B Giesler 2nd Connor(easier on his arm he's the ace) SS Rawe(solid infielder) 3rd Meyer(possibly arm strength an issue can play 2nd when Connor pitches) OF Kelly (plus he's as good as any catcher around) OF Grosser OF ??? Catcher Chris Kelly (Soph but he can play)

What does last year or the year before have to do with anything???? What does running a mile outside without the rest of the team prove? Sounds like an coach with an ego problem to me. If the players are serious about trying out put them in mix on play. Running them as stated by CCh24 does nothing and proves nothing.

who did they lose? Coach Schulkens is back isn't he and they return their number 1 pitcher Connor and hitter Kelly along with 4 other starters. I'd say they'll be just as good as last year.

nicknack1056 is correct that until NewCath gets knock off they're the team to beat. They return all their top producers and team leaders. There is some young talent that will step in and produce as well. Maile is the best but the 2 kelly brothers can play with anyone behind the plate.

Great point everyone is caught up on speed but.....3/4 pitches for strikes at 80 is much more useful. Jeramie Connor will probably #1 preseason. Look for a big year from Schuttleworth at Conner as well.
