They need to remove the "interim" title away from Coach Tackett and make him the official head coach of the Lady Vikings. That guy has the girls in green rolling, brings great passion to the sidelines along with discipline and hard nose play. Great qualities to have and run a program. Mason County freshman team is in action this Thursday and Friday in the Covington Catholic at Sports Of all Sorts. The Royals open action up against CovCath and play St. X to finish out pool play on Thursday. Good Luck Royals.

This JV coach you are referring to deserves a head coaching job and it will happen someday, just a matter of time.

I certainly agree with your thoughts. This team has no size but will flat get out and guard you. They are quick as lighting, have good ball handlers, and really are patient on offense. East Carter has dropped from their preseason # 1 ranking and really has been a disappointment. The kids at Rowan County play hard for their first year head coach. They are fun to watch and you can't overlook them.

If A-Town sweeps through this tournament, look out come the Class A tournament. Coach Kelsch thrives on these games and a tune up to the Class A.

There is quite a bit of interest in the All A tournament, drop out and see a game sometime and see how the small schools get after one another just like the bigger schools tangle.:thumb:
