I am sure when Scott County comes to town Friday for the boys matchup, a) cross country practice will be cut short or no practice b) krogers will have more than two lines open c) Pasquales will be replaced by hot dogs or popcorn at the Fieldhouse All of which I am sure is because its a Friday night.

Clark narrowed the gap to 11 points but could not inch closer. Montgomery, their post player broke free for some easy looks in the paint in the 3rd quarter to spark a little run but Mason County would answer on the other end. There was a stretch in the 3rd quarter where Mason's defense was a little lackluster, but the girls responded with a solid 4th quarter. It was as good of a half as I have seen that the ladies played in the first half.

One things for sure if you were to move the tournament to Augusta you wouldn't have to worry about being hungry, remember they have the best concession stand going:thumb:

About as generic as moving the 10th out of Maysville. Same scenario at all 3 venues, not enough seating to accommodate the crowds. In all fairness to teams involved, put every team in the region in a hat and have a blind draw. See ya at the Clover Dome and you definitely better be there early. One must remember, the almighty dollar always comes out on top. I wish it was March already.

That seems to be a pretty fair assessment on the difference of seating capacity. 2300 times the price of admission ($5) = 11,500 for the finals. I need to buy up all the tickets and make out like a fat cat.

What happens to the 10th if a couple more teams move out due to restructing issues. Who is to say that Montgomery County does not jump to the 16th and Clark County moves to the 11th for travel issues. If Fleming can move out of the 10th, then anything is possible. Even though it may not seem fair, Mason County should host the region for numerous reasons. It is centrally located for all the schools, best facility hands down, plenty of parking, quality restaraunts, and it is just minutes from the house. Years ago, Clark County tried to host the 10th, and well the rest is history. If Montgomery gets their chance this year, their will be alot people left outside looking in, or at Cracker Barrel with mhighfield trying to get updates on their laptop.

Mason County freshman defeated Lex Cath tonite by a score of 41-34. Jordan Gilbert and Treg Setty led the Royals with 10. Neal Pawsat and Jeris Carver had 9 and 8 points respectively. The freshman now stand at 11-1 on the season. The freshman are in action Thursday night at Montgomery County. Game time is 6:30.

Great, glad you don't have a problem with it. I guess that is what happens when a long drought finally receives rain. I don't have a problem with it at all either and I thank Gold Sunrise for the reminders, the bulletin board material I guess that is what you would call it. What would be the difference, I think that the 3 at the end of the third quarter stands out more than some of the others, but in the end they still count towards the 11 they missed. That would have been a 3 point lead into the 4th quarter and quite possibly a different game.

Most of the reason for that is that they deserve the credit for being a solid team, a team capable of going 8 to 9 players deep despite the margin of points. Montgomery County on two or three different occassions had the chance to put away Campbell County in Saturdays semifinal after holding leads of 13 points. When your up you better nail your opponent down for good or else you will have a ballgame. Credit the Camels and their never give up attitude for making it a game in the semifinals. If Campbell County makes their free throws then quite possibly Montgomery County is not playing Mason County in the finals. They were 9-20 from the line and got beat by 9 points. A 92-63 win by the Indians over St Patricks in the quarterfinals was enough to rest the starters of the Indians legs in their tournament opener.

Is Cory Rogers a transfer from Fleming County? If so when did this happen? Is he related to some Rogers girls that play for Clark County girls team?

Great post on all accounts, but in tournaments, go play the game you are dealt both date and time and not make excuses.

Yes we all know how that turned out in the regional tournament last year, you do a great job of keeping our minds refreshed that read on here. I would probably send out refreshers often as well if I was a fan of a school who went 17 years without a regional championship. I can't wait for the tournaments to begin again this year.

It is hard to play as intense as they do for 4 quarters without a quality bench that could fill in for a few minutes to give them a blow. IMO, they have one quality sub that comes in and there is no significant dropoff.

Pawsat is very aggresive, he was on the floor several times last night fighting for loose balls, etc. In a quarter of action, he tallied 7 points and 5 rebounds. As far as is growing, his brother was 6'4", so he may have a spurt over the summer. IMO he is an excellent player that will only get better. He has the 3 H's on his side plus talent. Only time will tell with the development of this young man.

I wonder how long it will take to start a thread with our All Concession Stand Team members?
