LIVINGOUTADREAM Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Doesn't appear this game was as close as the final score indicated. If I read this right, it was 54 to 32 at halftime. Clark narrowed the gap to 11 points but could not inch closer. Montgomery, their post player broke free for some easy looks in the paint in the 3rd quarter to spark a little run but Mason County would answer on the other end. There was a stretch in the 3rd quarter where Mason's defense was a little lackluster, but the girls responded with a solid 4th quarter. It was as good of a half as I have seen that the ladies played in the first half.

mcpapa Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Did you attend last nights game mcpapa? No; yesterday was the first day of indoor track practice; after mcmama and mcdaughter stopped at Kroger on the way home we decided to eat out and didn't get home until 8:30. No rest for the weary.:irked: Might have been a different story if a) parents picked their kids up from practice on time instead of nearly an hour late b) Krogers had more than 2 checkouts going c) Pasquales hadn't been packed

Supper will be a leisurely one at home. We will be at the Fieldhouse before 7:00.:thumb: Ideally, last night's schedule for me would have been Mason-LexCath frosh game at 6:00, run downtown to catch the MC-CC girls' game immediately after, then grab something on the way home and watch the OSU-LSU beatdown. Alas, there are other family members whose wants and needs must be factored into the equation.

mcpapa Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 On a side note - the actual game - the 34-point effort from Dee made me wonder - is she closing in on Chris Lofton's all-time Mason County scoring record?
LIVINGOUTADREAM Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 On a side note - the actual game - the 34-point effort from Dee made me wonder - is she closing in on Chris Lofton's all-time Mason County scoring record? Chambers has 2,575 Chris Lofton - 2,763 To answer your question, it looks as if she is. 14 regular season games left, post season, I think she gets it.

Barring something way out of the ordinary, she gets it easily. That would be a great accomplishment. I've known her for many years and I can't think of a more deserving person.
