I figured a 2-2 record before hand and to leave Hawaii 3-1 is just outstanding. Congrats to the coaches, players and all the fans that made the trip and represented us so well. :thumb:

Good win for the Royals as Iolani is the #2 ranked team in Hawaii.they finish 3-1 in the Iolani Prep Classic with there only loss to #10 ranked Nationally Rice,Ny.Congrats guys and have a safe trip home very proud of you .HC thanks for the updates nice job.Up next the 5/3 in Lexington doesn't get any easier.:dancingpa

No longer called the 5/3, its now the Lexington Catholic Holiday Classic. No sponsorship this year.

Mason Co. looked very tired tonight and it was somewhat of a letdown game for the Royals after two big games. Iolani was small, but were very tough and scrappy and played the Royals hard. Darius stepped up big and carried the team on his back in the second half. It was not the Royals best game by any means but a win is a win. The team looked a little worn out after playing two games in less than 24 hours. Hopefully we can rest and relax the flight home and during the holidays to be ready to play at Lex Cath.

 

This team showed some great heart here in Honolulu. They should have come away 4-0 since they had a lead in the 4th against Rice and let it slip away. But there is no shame in losing to a top 10 team in the nation. The Royals are in great shape and to me are the clear cut number 1 team in the state. They are really fun to watch.
