  1. Good, now I just hope Dayton gets everyone back so both teams can play at full strength.

Excelent win for Dixie. NKY 6A is crazy this year outside of Boone! Makes for fun and interesting games.
  3. Sounds like it was crazy game. This just goes to show how good 1A is this year and how many good teams there are in 1A. I was really impressed with Lynn Camp when they came up to Dayton and to play right with Hazard just shows they are that good. Good game to both.
  4. This thread didn't take long to get up there . I think I'm going to take Beechwood in one crazy game. I just think Elliot is too much to handle for the NCC defense. Can throw well and is extremely fast. Good luck to both and have a good game, would like to make this game. Beechwood: 21 NCC: 14
  5. What happened to Buckler's ankle?
  6. Brownfield has a sprained ankle not sure how bad it is, and Wynn's shoulder was dislocated and would not go back into place so I don't know why it won't pop back in. Who had a concussion? About the game, was really impressed with Newport's defense a lot better than what I had thought. They brought the house almost every play and it killed Dayton's running game for awhile and Dayton had to rely on the passing game. I think at the end Dayton eventually wore down the Newport D and started to get some good rushes but still had to rely on the passing game fairly often. Good hard hitting game from both teams. Nice win to Dayton go down to Carroll next week then we invite the Tigers back to our house for the rematch!!!:ylsuper:
  7. I hope so, it would be sad to see another head coach leave so early.
  8. The one possesion shouldn't alter the game very much, but one quarter could let the game get out of hand. It will be interesting to see what happens.
  9. Most have to work harder because they aren't handed life on a silver platter like some from the wealthier areas. Many have to take jobs too so that means school, football, then work in one day.
  10. That was an instant classic. Dayton winning in OT stopping a two point conversion that would of gave Bellevue the win. What a game that was, and it was a total swamp. It was also freezing in that one too.
  11. So are the kids going to FFA event not allowed to play at all?
  12. It would be nice for once to get a little credit.
  13. I never knew where Dayton got this play from maybe they got it from Bellevue or maybe Bellevue got it from Dayton but I have seen Dayton run the exact same play with no flag, several times. I thought it was a pretty smart play
  14. No kicker, just get lucky every once in awhile and make a PAT. They have improved on PAT, I think they made all of them last week, and when they played Bellevue they didn't not do horrible on the PAT kicking so it is coming along with the season.
  15. Like mitts said they play whenever, and even if they did play when Dayton was on defense it has absolutely NO effect on the game for several reasons. 1) Way too small to make any amount of noise, have something like 10 or so members. 2) Not ONE player on the field pays any attention to the crowd or the band and thats period. If a player is paying attention to any of them then they shouldn't be on the field and I hope Dayton is playing someone like that. 3) Both teams crowd make WAY more noise than any band does. So to say Dayton doesn't have class because thier band plays all the time is ridiculous, and to say that it how they had to win is ridiculous too.
  16. It will be interesting to see if they go to A or AA. And I was impressed with the WV 9/10 team, they were well coached and fairly big. Dayton shut them out when they came here and then when Dayton when down there they beat Dayton with 3 defensive touchdowns. IMO they were the best 9/10 team that Dayton has played this year.
  17. I don't know much about Gallatin other than they are having a great season, but I'm just not sold yet if they can compete with some of the NKY football programs. I think it will be a close and interesting game... Bellevue:21 G. County:14 Good luck to both :thumb:
  18. Newport shocked me in how well they played with Holy Cross. But then again Holy Cross has been the most inconsistent team in NKY, with playing NCC and Beechwood close and then disappointing in a few other games. If this game wasn't senior night I would expect it to be somewhat close with Dayton still winning, but there are 16 or 17 seniors on this team and they will come out as focused as they can be so Dayton by a few touchdowns. Dayton:35 Newport:14
  19. Thanks for the respect.... It is sad to see how some people see these cities when they know nothing about them at all. I played at Dayton and I can say they have some of the most loyal fans in the area along with Bellevue and Ludlow. Even when a down year comes along and they lose to the other small schools the fans are still there week in and week out. Just look at the Dayton/Bellevue game that game was standing room only, it was insane! And just to note, I had the opportunity to play at an NCC or Highlands (like Future Coach said it happens all the time) and I turned it down to stay with my friends and I would never change that choice for anything, I'm glad I stayed. So to the rest of the people who really don't know these cities don't comment on them.
  20. I'm not sure if it has to be defensive or an offensive player good point.
  21. I have no idea, I'm guess since the player already touched the ball (RB) then the reciever is fair game. Once the ball is tipped (touched) the recievers are fair game... At least in the NFL :sssh:
  22. Awesome, hopefully he gets back into the grove of the game and maybe able to put up some of the numbers he did before.
  23. I had to battle with him the whole week before the Dayton/Bellevue game and i was so happy to see Dayton put it on them for reasons like that.:madman: And Ludlow was right there with Dayton and Bellevue they impressed me when they came to Davis and almost beat Dayton, it was a good game! Anyways, good win Braves...
