  1. I'm sure many people think that the lose to Carroll is a terrible thing to the Dayton squad, but it can also be turned around into a positive. I'm sure coach Deaton will talk to the team telling them that last week was a wake up call and your not going to walk over people until they meet Beechwood. Before last week I'm sure many of Dayton's players would have looked past Bellevue for the game that is looming next, but last week was a wake up call. So they will come out focused and ready for the game like they were last time. The team will be healthy and focused and Dayton will take the game again. Might be a little closer this time because both teams have seen each other, but still a W for the Dayton squad. Dayton: 39 (PAT's for both) Bellevue: 19 Go Devils :dancingpa
  2. True, just making a statement Dayton over Holmes was not an upset.
  3. I'm hoping they take it as a wake up call and get them refocused on their goal. Next week will be interesting.
  4. Thats good, at least he can play, and it's only slight.
  5. Nice win NCC didn't see this game being that far apart. I heard Elliot hurt his ankle?
  6. Wake up call for the Devils. Four two way starters sat, including Searcy (OL/MLB), Trent (OL/DL), Brownfiled (WR/DB), and Wynn (RB/WR/DB). But still no excuse, Carroll ran the ball well and controled the clock. It was the fastest game I have ever been to because they had the ball most the game. Dayton fumbled twice in the red zone, once on about the 20 and once on about the 1 yard line. Good game for Carroll to get some confidence going into the playoffs, and a wake up call for the Devils going into Bellevue.
  7. I would love to see Ludlow win this game, not because I do not like Lloyd but so Ludlow can get some confidence going into the playoffs. Lloyd has a talented team with some good athletes so I seen them winning the game, but I would be rooting for the panthers. Good luck to both.
  8. He has already been put on here for Dayton but Jason Skirvin was an amazing running back. Although he had a good team around him, he almost single handedly beat Beechwood in the 1995 semifinals (quaterfinals?). Great player but even a better person. Another great back from Dayton was Kleet (sp?).
  9. Scratch the championship idea was given bad information, there will be none for the division Dayton is in. Sorry about that.
  10. Good luck to both teams this should be barn burner!! Too bad I can't make this one.
  11. And so is every other team in the playoffs.
  12. Yeah but a lot of the better athletes from these schools transfer out therefore making it harder for the school to put a solid football team together every year.
  13. How would Dayton over Holmes be consider an upset when they are 8 and 1 and are ranked 7th in the state in 1A. And 9th in the region?
  14. Did not know that. I also heard last night Joe was out for the season (has to get surgery). We will have to see what happens.
  15. Not just this game, and I didn't notice any fans getting mad over the band playing. But this all really started the Lynn Camp game where two fans came over to the band director and began yelling at him for playing, ever since then it's like the band isn't aloud to play. I thought it was pathetic the ref holding the game up for the band to stop, but the no one in the stands really seemed to mind. Other than that I thought the refs called a fair game, and the game was a good and well played game for both teams.
  16. This is true but stranger things have happened. Dayton has been playing much better since they switched around qb's. When they played Beechwood Ellis was still at qb.
  17. Not sure yet the games are still going. I know Dayton, Bellevue and Walton were the top teams. Dayton traded wins with both Bellevue and Walton. I'm not sure what Bellevue and Walton have done against each other.
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the division with Bellevue, Dayton, Brossart, Ludlow, and Walton are having their own little championship. I'm not sure about the other division?
  19. The ref actually stopped the game several times to wait until the band finished the song. The band director was so mad that they couldn't play they would play between plays get real quite, but keep playing during the play, and then get loud again after the play was over. The ref stopped several times and looked up at the band as they were stopping. It was pathetic. It is funny how petty things come out when a team is doing good.
  20. Nope he practiced today as did Brownfield. Neither will play this week though.
  21. Exactly and anyone can beat anyone on a given night. Dayton wont look past Bellevue and thats for sure, but I seem them beating them again, and maybe just maybe they can put one perfect game together for Beechwood (maybe?).
