  1. Ok here it is, both lines are evenly matched. They both have big strong linemane, and are above average line for class A football. Because they are evenly matched the game will come down to the perimeter where Dayton has a clear advantage. This is why this game is Dayton's to lose.:dancingpa
  2. Seem pretty fait to me. Would be interesting to see Lloyd and Holy Cross go down to the wire like that.
  3. I know I put another post to correct it. I always get them two (used to be no football) schools mixed up all the time.
  4. Does it honestly matter how much someone can bench? If you know the game, do your job, get your head on the right side of the defender, fire off, and get the block does it honestly matter? I don't think I have ever seen a strong man competition determine the winner of a football game. And I know plenty of people who can't bench nearly as much as someone, but are physically stronger than them.
  5. So are you trying to compare Holmes, Scott, and Ludlow to Brossart?
  6. I cant wait till Friday, this is going to be the craziest game in the state.
  7. But look at the teams they have played. Holmes plays in highlands district as well as scott. Lloyd played right with beechwood and beat newport pretty bad which bellvue only beat by by 7. And are you forgetting Lynn camp???? I think they would be ranked above Bellvue in the class A poll???:sssh:
  8. The Paris game is not a good one to note, considering they are 0-5.
  9. Well put:thumb:. I wasn't knocking their wins, but they one have one quality win in Ludlow. Other than that the teams are either winless or have only won one game.
  10. No "dream letters", letters seeing he is 6'5" around 280, strongest player on team, and has great feet (40 under 4.9), so get the facts straight before you are going to put down a kid like that please.
  11. So I guess Dayton winning THREE games they should not have won doesn't make someone a good coach right? Holmes is going to kill Dayton, Scott is too big, Lynn Camp is ranked 7th in the state they will beat Dayton, Dayton has been the underdog in these games and still come out on top, seems like a pretty good coaching staff to me. And no wonder Dayton kids have to play with a chip on their shoulder. They have 5, count them FIVE, quality wins, not 1 quality win and 4 blowouts, and people make excuses for everyone of them. I hope Dayton comes out and puts it to Bellvue, and maybe just maybe someone will give Dayton a little credit. But the band might interfer or the reffing was poor, there will be some excuse saturday morning when Dayton wins this game. Oh yeah and if you want to compare to benchpresses, Dayton's running back benched over 300.
  12. I'm going to say HC, simply because of the trouble the Lloyd kids have had to go through with Yeagle and the problems he has encountered. Good luck to both:thumb:
  13. Beechwood Boone Dayton Grant Holy Cross Beechwood
  14. Defently, this is the key of the game for both teams. I think Dayton will own the perimeter, but the line wins games and both lines are evenly matched up. I think if Dayton plays like they did in the 2nd half against Lloyd or the first half of the Lynn camp game they will by 2 TD's. Lets add those two halves together and make a complete game and Dayton will be fine :fire: As I hope looking up lol
  15. bowling has only played football in high school 1 or 2 years? I will give berns a good lineman, but you can't just say that they will dominate the line. Tim Mac... is a division 1 prospect. Did you not read the article in the paper? Letters from UC and Louisville. Sound pretty legit to me? I think certain positions will dominate. And IMO one of dayton's best linemanif not the best is searcy being one of their smaller ones. Has started for 3 years, knows the game in and out, and will bring the wood to every block. Seen more pancakes out of him than I can count. So dont be so sure of yourself on that one there.
  16. Personally I see Dayton matching up better. Their line is bigger (2 tackles 6'5" and 6'6" and weighing about 280 or so), much faster (Young, Turner, Wynn all in the area of 4.5 fourty with about 3 or 4 more players pretty close to that mark as well), 17 seniors which some have been starting for 3 years, and with the passing game the way it has been the past two games I dont see Bellvue having an answer. Put 8 in the box, and Sherlock goes long to one of the speedy recievers, back off and Brumett pounds it up the middle. I just see Dayton much more experienced and somewhat more talented this year. This will just keep going back and forth until friday :argue: :argue: lol
  17. Okay I'm going to address a few issues here. 1) How can one say Bellvue is in better condition than Dayton? Dayton has won FOUR games in the fourth quater. And if that don't show conditioning nothing does. And they won the Lloyd game in the 2nd half. 2) What is the big deal with the band thing? If you honestly think that a player on the field in the middle of the football game is paying attention to the band then your nuts. When I played I did not here a thing but what was going on on on the football field. Not the fans, and not the bands. Belive me, neither team will pay attention to either band playing. 3) This is not an argument just a statement regarding Dayton's run defense. When they played Ludlow they looked as if thier run defenese was horrible, but Dayton was in a base 4-3 and was running cover 3 and cover 2 all night long trying to defend against Ludlows strength. Ludlow's coach did an excellent job of keeping the D questioning what they were going to do, and it showed with them gashing the Dayton D up the middle. But other than that game they held the leading rusher in the state to 103 yards which seems pretty good to me. So I think the rushing defense for both teams is even. This games comes down to pure emotion, and both will bring thier A game. The devils take this one though. Good luck to both teams.:thumb:
  18. NCC, newport is extremely young this year also to go along with the undersized team compared to NCC.
  19. It really is about time they got a traveling trophy for this game. IMO the most heated rivalry in the state and have never had a trophy for it. Newport has had the bell forever. I heard the paddle is pretty big as well.
  20. Lol meant walton, get them schools mixed up all the time. It's their first year I'm pretty sure. No varsity yet though
  21. Defently a heated rivary, but usually a cleany played game. Dont see any ejections in this game.
  22. Dayton takes this one, and gets the paddle for the first time. Personally trying to compare the wins dayton has and the wins bellvue has is not possible. Dayton has played a MUCH harder schedule thus far, and this will give them the advantage in a game where records and talent is thrown out the door. This game is pure emotion, but the close games that dayton has won will give them the edge in the 4th quarter, plus coming off of the big game agains Lloyd. Dayton 33 Bellvue 20 I dont see neither team being very good at PAT's lol
  23. When I said frosh I meant freshman/sophomore sorry, but yeah they played bellvue, ludlow, villa, bracken, and brossart.:thumb:
