Is he leaning towards one school or another? Personally, I would like to see him go to Louisville, but just curious if the "Rock insiders" knew if he had a school in mind.

Simply put....I have no problem running up the score whatsoever!

It is in no way running up the score. In a game like this one you having to keep scoring until the final whistle blows. I don't care if Coach Trosper would have scored 100. Also, it's the playoffs, you have to do whatever it takes to solidify a win, even if that means running up the score. But, I am from the mindset, that if you can score 84 and you can score that the right way (with reserves, etc. playing) then go ahead and do it. And if I get beat by 84 then, I will be watching a ton of film to get my defense better and in better positions.

I saw the LaRue opening on the coaching listserv email yesterday. I haven't seen anything yet about Boyd County. Obviously, I am from Northern Kentucky and pay close attention to teams up here, are the LaRue, Boyd, and Calloway County job openings what was expected or is there a little bit of shock with these?

I have knew Clint for the last 8 years or so. He is the step-father of a former classmate of mine. It was always great to talk sports with him, banter back and forth about UK basketball, high school football, and of course his beloved Lady Raiders. He had an infectious smile that always lit up the room. He was even smiling ear to ear greeting family and friends at a benefit held in his honor a few weeks back. I know that his friends and family will miss him dearly. I also know that the Lady Raiders will have a guardian angel with them this season. We will all miss you Clint!

I haven't heard any of this "on the streets" in Bellevue. But, I'm not saying that you are lying. I'm not bashing Montgomery here but if it was a spat over budgets and allocations of staff, wouldn't that be the same regardless of who was coaching the team.

I will take Trinity in this game.

In hopes that this doesn't turn into a thread bashing some coaches or starting ridiculous rumors, what coaching vacancies are there for next year. Who has already posted their jobs? retired? etc. I know that Dixie is currently open.

I completely understand what I said about a Bellevue/Ludlow 3rd round game is almost impossible. That is why it is important to read the whole post, if you are going to make comments. I DO think that Beechwood will win this game by a larger margin (35+ points), but I can still root for the underdog. I think that Beechwood will take it easy the 2nd half to prevent any injuries or anything crazy. I also, do think that the only competitive game for Beechwood will be the Mayfield game.

It sounds like not much has changed for Frankfort. Not a very good passing team but has some size and a bunch of athletes. I am sure they are focused in on the Bellevue Tigers and what it will take to win that game. The Frankfort/Bellevue game was a great game a few years ago, hopefully that will repeat itself this Friday. As for Dayton....there is a ton of work that needs to be done up there. 1-20 over the past 2 season. That is a 5% winning percentage. I don't see much of that changing over the next couple of years. It will be awhile before Dayton gets over the 5 wins in a season mark.

The crowd seemed a little sparse for the normal at the Bellevue/Bracken Co. game.

I would have to say that Frankfort would be the favorite since they are a #1 seed and Bellevue is a #2 seed.

I am going to go with Owen Co. in this one. I think their defense and "pass-happy" offense will be a little too much for the Indians to handle. This should definitely be one of the most interesting 2nd round matchups. Owen Co. 27 Holy Cross 14

I think this is a definite regardless of the outcome of the Ryle game. Maybe there is a chance he will stay if Boone Co. can run the table and win a state championship, but I just don't see that happening. I just think too many things have gone wrong in this program (mainly internal issues) to justify his staying with the program. Does anyone out there have any ideas of any potential candidates (internal or external) to replace Thompson, if he indeed doesn't return?

Even though the outcome of this game seems inevitable. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for the extremely small percentage of chance that Ludlow pulls out this one out. I know, that this is very unlikely. But as a Bellevue fan, I am hoping Ludlow wins and the regional final game is Bellevue v. Ludlow.

According to my source, this is the 2nd ever meeting between these two teams. The first meeting coming a few years ago, with Bellevue being victorious. I can't remember the score. This could be a very good game again this year. It's a long ride in the cheese wagons for the Tigers, but if they show up and play solid fotoball like they did this past week against Bracken, I think the Tigers can get by Frankfort. BHS 22 FHS 18

I know a lot of schools will not honor passes for playoff games, mainly because of the 50/50 split between the schools. By not honoring passes it ensures that the gate receipts will be as high as they can get them.
