Just wondering if this is Knights own way of self censoring himself? Knight will say what ever comes into his mind with little to no filter between brain and mouth. Knight ran his mouth about Calipari and UK 2 years ago and then was forced by ESPN to apologize on ESPN. BK may have decided to never mention UK, Cal or the Players for fear of spouting off again and getting into more trouble.

How much longer are they going to keep him as an analyst? He has to make the ESPN staff nervous whenever he is discussing anything where Kentucky could be mentioned. It's ludicrous for an analyst not to say anything about the number 1 team in the country simply because he doesn't like the program. It doesn't stop Digger.

I get the point that you're trying to make rockmom. However, I've watched a few games within the last couple weeks that Knight has done. His partner will be talking about the top teams in the country, specifically the number 1 team, or he will be talking about Davis. I've noticed on more than one occassion that his partner stops, as if to let Knight speak, and there is simply a very awkward silence. His bias against UK makes him look like a fool in my opinion.

I haven't seen any of the discussions....I just was trying to get a context of the conversation. I haven't even seen Davis or any of the others play, and I wondered how the conversation went, and what was spurring the conversation. Thanks for the description.

Apparently on Mike and Mike this morning, Knight listed 5 teams in the conversation about the best team in college basketball. He didn't mention Kentucky.

 

I actually like listening to him call games (he discusses the games instead of the stupid side stories everyone else drones on about), but ESPN can't continue to pay him if he's going to behave this way. Its childish and unprofessional, not to mention incompetent.

Someone said Bob Knight was on Mike and Mike this morning and when asked who the top 5 best teams were, UK was never mentioned. Does anyone take this guy at all serious anymore. The game as we know it today has long since passed him by. Why did ESPN even hire him to begin with?

I don't have a problem with him leaving UK out. Maybe he thinks their youth is a problem. Doesn't really matter. The issue is that apparently neither Mike challenged him on it. If 99% are saying UK is a legit championship team then you have to ask why they weren't included.
