DragonFire
I agree with everything you said, except for the sentiment in the last sentence. The drunk driver, who is dead, does not have to pay for their funeral. The family usually does. What is tragic is for a a gift like Whitney's voice to be silenced. That tragedy began so much longer before her death. I wholeheartedly agree though, she had a gift that was diminished by drugs and now totally lost with her death. Henry521
She certainly had a beautiful, powerful voice. My favorite rendition of the National Anthem for a Super Bowl, was when Whitney did it during Desert Storm. Can't remember the exact year, but it was perfect. It should be the performance that every artist strives for when singing the National Anthem.

PurplePride92
I can't blame Bobby Brown. They haven't been together for years. She could have said NO at any time in her life.
LRCW
Why didn't her Aunt Dionne have the paramedics and doctors there beforehand?
NEERFAN
I can't blame Bobby Brown. They haven't been together for years. She could have said NO at any time in her life. I couldn't agree more. They've been split for some time, she was 48 years old so she could've made changes in her life if she wanted to.

mcpapa
Sad. Brings to mind the death of my only sibling. Sister had major mental health and substance abuse issues most of her relatively short life (died at 45).
nWo
It is very easy to discount those who have an addiction that hurts them and their family and friends. It is easy to discount them or discard them once they have passed on. We should be praying for them instead of putting them down. It is very easy to pray for those who are on the so called straight and narrow. We should be praying for those who are addicted to drugs and other substances. We should remove the pillar out of our own eyes before we try to remove the speck out of another person's eye. As I have often stated in my bible class: It is easy to pray for those who are already saved, we should be praying for those who aren't.
