Final.

Jones with a dislocated finger, status is uncertain for the Tuesday game vs. Samford.

Good game for the most part, would have liked to have seen more bench but was more than satisfied with the 7 man rotation, 8 if you count Jones. Still some silly turnovers but not really by Teague who played a solid game.

Dislocated finger and he was acting like that? They hurt but you can fight through them. I question his intelligence and his heart. Even before the injury he looked lost.

Luckily it's early in the season because Jones is lost and must be found. The last time he left the game for the bench you could tell Cal was sick of him.

It's very clear to me that Jones has a bad case of freshman envy. Not sure if he will survive the season.

Sadly I'm wondering the same. He's not a star on this team like he thought he would be. Rather he's playing like and probably is the 4th best player on the team.

This.

Shouldn't even be starting right now....virus to this team.....attitude stinks!!!

if you haven't seen it... check the pic on KSR of Jones' finger. ouch.

Which is frustrating, because when he truly wants to play and leaves it out there on the floor, he is a force to be reckoned with!

It's better for Jones to be in a funk now versus later. I feel Cal will get him back on track soon.

When Jones plays like he is a 4, he is great. When he plays like he is a 2, he stinks. Get down low, take it to the rim, hit the boards and play defense. If you want to mix in a couple 3 pointers a game, fine. Jones needs to watch tape of Patrick Patterson.

I am not sure why anyone is surprised in Jones's attitude? Not until he was relegated to second fiddle and his acceptance of that last season did UK start their winning ways.

The question is will he truly accept that role this year, being a returning sophomore, which makes him a graybeard on Cal's teams. I'm guessing he has no intention of returning for a junior season, so his eyes are on the NBA and the upcoming payday. It is now or never for him, so will he be willing to sacrifice individual goals for the good of the team if he thinks it will hurt his draft stock.

Personally, I think Cal's track record has proven that buying into the team concept and playing the way he wants improves everyone's stock. But, will Jones see it that way?
