Randy Noll played professionally in Europe.

 

Dan Tieman was the Big O's backup for the Royals.

 

Roger Tieman played professionally too, I believe.

 

PJ Thelen had quite a few tryouts with the Hawks & the Jazz. I believe he was actually the last cut, and played over in Europe.

 

That's all I can think of, off the top of my head.

It was Terry Sandfoss not Tony, His brother Jim Sandfoss was pretty good too , and so was the Gunner Carl Foster

I had heard, that Big Jim Sanfoss from New Cath taught Dave Cowens how to play basketball, and then went on and had a successful career at Morehead State, where he still holds the career Free throw average set at 92.5%.

Cowens had a foot/arch problem in high school and that limited his development. Eventually became the MVP in the NBA in 72-73.

Of course, keep in mind this is the time that I have watched - Coach Pratt and Coach Zornes were pretty good from what I here too. I am old enough to get to see Pratt in college a lit bit, but never did see him play HS ball at Boyd.

Jim Sanfoss was one of the first New Cath "Hall of Famers".

Two guys from Pendleton County HS said that thier best two players were Talbert Turner and Bobby Lee Wyatt. I agree with these two, but random people have told me about a guy who used to play for the old Falmouth HS named Jimmy Hammond. I think he played in the fifties. Have you all heard of him?
