I saw Daryl Griffith play at Newprt Catholic. Correct me if I'm wrong but he played with Male. Anybody better than him there?

No because Daryl Griffith is the best player that Kentucky has ever produced,........ period.

Bobby Turner, but I think that he had some academic problems at U of L.

Forgot about Justice. How good would all three of these been if they would have been 17 or 18 as seniors instead of 16.

I am glad I got to see Griffith play. The atmosphere at NC was unbelievable at that game. The only vivid memory of the game was Griffith coming from the back court to reject a long jump shot from an NC player. What I remember is he was at least 15 feet from the shooter when he left his feet and seemed to be 15 feet in the air when emphatically swatted the shot into the stands

Also saw Dirk Miniefield for Lafayette at Sweet 16 (79?) when Highlands made the trip. Any better than him at that school.

One more, we played a home and home against Shelby County in 79 and 80. They came to Highlands in 79. Charles Hurt broke a rim on a dunk. The next year we went there. Hurt had graduated, but they had an awesome picture of him wearing a Superman outfit. Definetly a man amongst the boys in High School.

Way to go Sharp!!! In Pendleton Co. , it was definitely Bobby Lee Wyatt. Talbert Turner only had the numbers that he had because took about 70 shots a game. Wyatt was pure majic to watch. This post comes from some one who played most of his child hood on the courts and driveways of Falmouth with Wyatt!

The Palmer Brothers from Newport was'nt to shabby.

I disagree... I believe Dave Cowens is the best player to ever come out of Kentucky. It's hard to argue against his acheivements. But I guess it depends on how you look at the question, as a highschool player, you might be able to argue against Cowens, but if you take the way I do, Cowens was one of the best players to ever play the game, so I would say he's the best to come out of Kentucky.... period.

In the Kenny Shields era add Sullivan and Fischer if Tree and Vories are in.Didnt Smith and Lorenzen play for Messmer?

My list is certainly not "all inclusive" and my time lines probably do "blurr". You are absolutely right in adding Jeff Fischer to the list... Danny Sullivan ...alright add him too!! (CCHS made a big mistake letting him get away IMHO). Anybody else got additions???
